⚰️ Undertaker — This is the old-school term. Back in the day, they were the ones who “undertook” the responsibility of caring for the dead. You’ll mostly hear this in historic or vintage contexts now.

🕊️ Funeral Director — The modern title! They handle arrangements, meet with families, plan services, and make sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

🧤 Mortician — A more technical or traditional term that often refers to someone who prepares the body for burial or cremation — embalming, dressing, and casketing.

In today’s world, these titles often overlap — many professionals are both funeral directors and embalmers. Different names, same heart for service ❤️
