Join us for a unique evening of reflection, conversation, and community as we dive into James Nestor’s bestselling book, Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art. Nestor explores the transformative power of something we all do every day—breathing—and reveals how simple shifts in how we breathe can enhance our health, energy, and overall well-being.

This guided discussion will connect the science and stories from the book with the mindful practices we share on the mat. Whether you’ve read the book cover to cover or are just curious about the topic, you’ll leave with insights and inspiration to bring into your yoga practice and daily life.

We will have herbal teas available to sip while we discuss.

About the event

Shiatsu for Two: Simple Partner Stretches & Shiatsu Techniques

This workshop is led by licensed Shiatsu therapists Eric Scoles and Abigail Cline. Attendees are welcome to register individually or as a pair. You will be led through simple qigong exercises to invigorate the body and get your blood and Qi moving. You will learn several easy-to-locate acupoints with different benefits, and various stretches and shiatsu techniques to provide at home whether that’s on a yoga mat, bed, or seated position. Once provided with the technique toolbox, there will be time to trade with partners while coached through a simple routine of your own.
