Good morning! Hope everyone is having a great morning! It’s a little rainy 🌧 today but like with any storm, the sun will shine right after 🌈🌤☀️! This week we have gotten a lot of feedback on Edith’s Go Fund Me, I want to re-clarify that there are links on the the page explaining the process, statistics and payments we may encounter. We set a random number on the Go Fund Me just to start it off and we will adjust accordingly. We are still figuring out insurance, so far Edith has started dialysis and insurance will cover for that, we are just working for the transplant part now. Thanks again to all who have not judged us in this time of need and instead have supported us! We don’t ask for much, we know everyone has their own storm they are trying to get though, but we do ask for you to just pray and spread positivity. Positivity goes such a long way, not only will this help with Edith’s cause but it will boost her motivation to keep fighting and staying strong. Dialysis leaves her tiered but she’s a strong woman who has done so much for others, we know she will push through. Don’t be shy to post on this page. Leave some positive, loving and motivating comments, it will make her day 💚🙂

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS AND FAMILY! I want to start off the day by saying THANK YOU💚 we have been blessed with so much support, everyone is sharing and likening our page. We have gotten very generous donations as well. The Muñoz family couldn’t be more thankful! I would also like to update you guys on some murchandise we will be selling to help out our cause. I have ordered wristbands with Kidney4Edith written on them and a green ribbon for kidney failure. What’s the urgency of finding a donor? Well according to the Kidney Donor Network, there are approximately 100,000 people on the kidney transplant waiting list – and many people wait more than 5 -10 years for a kidney from a deceased donor. Millions of dollars are spent to encourage people to register to be an organ donor in the event of their untimely death. However, ONLY 1% of the deaths result in organs that could be used. Even if all of these organs were able to be recovered, it would not alleviate the shortage. A staggering 5,000 PEOPLE DIE EVERY YEAR WAITING for a kidney transplant and another 5,000 are taken off the list because they are no longer healthy enough to receive a transplant. Many of these individuals were good candidates for a transplant when they were first put on the waiting list. THIS IS WHY we are in such desperate need to share this page, we are on a race against time. Thanks to everyone who have been reaching out! We have created a GoFundMe page as well.
