Working out takes on new focus and motivation as we age. Our “why” for going to the gym becomes less about the scale and more about training to live and move the way we want to, free of pain and full of vitality. For me, that means choosing specific functional movements with my trainer, Phil Chung, to prepare my body for a long weekend of skiing with my kids. We had a great time, and I can honestly say my body and joints were grateful for all the time spent in the gym getting ready.
