The Center for Global Health (CGH) is an interdisciplinary program dedicated to improving health and well-being through education, research and training, and service in partnership with communities in the United States and around the world. Because so many academic disciplines are needed to address the challenges of global health, CGH leverages the unique institutional strength of the University of Chicago to bring together faculty and students from different schools and programs on campus.

The University of Chicago STEM Career Fair will take place in-person on January 15th, 2026 at Ida Noyes Hall at 3 PM! The Career Fair will bring together students across campus to network with employers, connect with each other, and engage in programming centered around interdisciplinary STEM themes.

All undergraduate students interested in STEM related careers are invited to attend. Although professional attire is not required for the fair, we do recommend business casual wear. Student registration is available on Handshake.

You can find the application on Handshake, GRAD Gargoyle, or linked directly below. This opportunity is available ONLY to UChicago undergraduate & graduate students.

A reminder that this year, we are requiring that applicants attend at least one information session in order to be eligible for consideration. This Friday, we are excited to spotlight Diya, a current 4th year at The College studying Biological Sciences with a minor in Health & Society. This summer, she worked with Dr. Kavi Bhalla and his partners at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) in New Delhi, India and focused on improving traffic conditions and vehicle safety across the city.

The Winter Quarter Deadline for the College Center for Research and Fellowships' Quad Undergraduate Research Scholars Program has been extended through January 8th, 2026. The Quad Undergraduate Research Scholars program offers research grants that are competitive, open-discipline awards intended to enhance the educational experience of University of Chicago College students by supporting scholarly undergraduate research and creative inquiry experiences through active participation in faculty-mentored research.

Quad Undergraduate Research Scholars are expected to participate in the annual scholars programming and present their research at the the annual University of Chicago Undergraduate Research Symposium held each April. For more information on how to apply, please click the link below:

The Council on Energy, Environment and Water is now accepting & reviewing applications for their flagship Global South Fellowship (GSF) on a rolling basis. This opportunity is open to PhD Students as well as budding climate researchers. As part of this talent programme, the Fellows will spend 6-12 months at the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), Asia’s leading policy research institution that has been ranked among the 20 best climate think tanks in the world. They will research big-bet areas such as Energy Transitions, Technology Futures, Sustainable Water, International Cooperation, Green Hydrogen, Industrial Sustainability and Climate Finance. The Fellowship will also provide an opportunity to build networks and platforms, widen their knowledge base and contribute towards institution building. Applications to the Stamps Scholars Program are now open and will be accepted through Friday, February 13th, 2026 at 12 PM (noon). Made possible by the partnership of the Stamps Scholars program and the University of Chicago Office of Career Advancement, UChicago Scholars receive grants of $20,000 that can be used over the course of their final two years at the University.

Recipients may use these enrichment funds for a wide variety of experiential learning opportunities, including internships, research projects, entrepreneurial endeavors, volunteering, and attending professional conferences, and other experiences. The deadline to apply to The MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics's Siegler Fellowship in Clinical Medical Ethics is January 15th, 2026.
This executive program is designed for clinicians and academic physicians who are interested in gaining training and experience in medical ethics. The fellowship begins with a four-week, full-time Summer Intensive in July. While most fellows are physicians, we welcome those interested in medical ethics from any perspective, including philosophy, nursing, and the social sciences.
There is no fee for the fellowship, and participants in the general part-time fellowship program do not receive a stipend. For more details on how to apply, please click the link below:
