This summer, she worked with Dr. Funmi Olopade and her partners at the Sickle Africa Data Coordinating Center (SADaCC) in Cape Town to co-develop an educational program on Sickle Cell Disease for patients, caregivers, and the public.

This Friday, we are excited to spotlight Ayush, a 2nd year Masters of Public Policy (MPP) candidate at The University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. This summer, he worked with Dr. Funmi Olopade and her partners at Lagos State University (LSU) and University College Hospital (UCH) in Nigeria. His project focused on magnetic resonance imaging-based hippocampal volumetry in a cohort of Nigerian dementia patients.

The winter deadline to apply to the College Center for Research and Fellowships' Quad Undergraduate Research Scholars program is Wednesday, December 17th, 2025.

Quad Undergraduate Research Scholars receive a grant of $5,000 and participate in CCRF programming to enhance their experience and build a cross-disciplinary research community. Quad grants support engagement in faculty-driven research for an entire academic year.
