A classic Tahitian vanilla strawberry cheesecake with fresh fruits. For The garden still has plenty of flowers and herbs and holding on to summer like a long kiss goodbye. There’s touch of coolness in the air, with the golden light at a slant, with the feeling that is both infinite and finite at the same time. How can it start out like summer and end like fall in one day?

Tropical vibes for my planty nerd BFF’s , today I dug deep and went back to my roots. Coconut flan tart with toasted black sesame crust, caramel glass crumbles,coconut and jackfruit jelly, passion fruit coulis, cara cara oranges, ume plums, rambutan, pandan leaf, passion fruits and vine and hibiscus.

I’m calling this Fallummer, I’m still hopeful that summer will have a last hurrah, one more sun drenched day at the beach, one more mosquito-ey hike in the woods, one more day of harvesting fresh herbs in the garden, but like a bittersweet goodbye, the fall colors call to me, reminding me that change is good, that transitions are needed for evolutions and to keep memories of summer alive in our hearts. The tart is vegan coconut cream with black sesame almond crust, passion fruit gelee’ fresh ume plums, nasturtiums and Passion flower vine. -titabakes

I’m delirious from a combo of antihistamines and being stung by a wasp this morning, so excuse my lack of poetry, but I’m calling this tart a goddess sunset because it is, also the jasmine flowers from the garden are intoxicating so maybe that why the wasps and bees were chillin there. -tita -titabakes
