Vida/SIDA is High Impact Prevention that aims at addressing the needs of the Latinx and African American LGBTQ Community. Programs focus on community engagement, recognizing self-pride, building relationships amongst peers, and discusses HIV prevention strategies, safer sex practices, and HIV/STI Testing and Counseling.

Rising utility costs can be tough on families, and CEDA is here in Cook County to make sure neighbors have access to help when they need it most. Apply during your priority period to receive assistance with heating and electric bills:

👵 Older adults (60+)
♿ Person(s) with a disability
👶 Families with children age 5 & under
🔌 Households that are disconnected or in imminent disconnection status

All income-eligible households can apply starting November 1, 2025.

Our Story

The Puerto Rican Culture Center-Vida/SIDA is an agency that provides HIV Prevention and Education plus Referrals for HIV, STI, and PrEP Linkage to Care and Treatment to all who are in need. In addition, Vida/SIDA provides Ryan White Part A services plus SAMSHA and CDC Programs directed at the LatinX and African American communities of the LGBTQ Community for social services.
