The Haven Group

The Haven Group is a therapeutic practice in Chicago that provides counseling and education services to women and families in need.

The Haven Group strives to provide strength, support, and stability. We recognize both the incredible excitement and overwhelming challenges that parents may experience as their families are growing and changing. We provide a range of supports for family members from the early stages of family planning through the transitions into new roles and dynamics. Through counseling, doula, and educational services, we strive to assist you in identifying and managing any areas of new or changing family issues that may be challenging you. We consider it a privilege to be with you on this journey, as you create a safe haven within your own home.

The Haven Group is unique in the range of services we offer, and in the ways we support our clients. We aim to provide comprehensive care that goes beyond the scope of a traditional doula or mental health professional. We offer in-home doula and therapy services, so you don't have to leave the comfort of your own environment during what may be a challenging time. By combining our knowledge, training, and experience, we hope to support you through your prenatal and postpartum periods. Whether you are looking for support during labor and delivery, someone to guide you through your baby registry, or counseling during a challenging postpartum experience, THG is here for you.

I am excited to announce the first of a two-part workshop series that The Haven Group & Embrace Sexual Wellness are co-facilitating on pregnancy and s*xuality, a unique event for expecting parents. This first event is for parents who are currently expecting; the second event will focus on postpartum s*xuality and will likely be offered later this spring (more details to come).

In this workshop, we will discuss commonly held beliefs and debunk myths about s*x during pregnancy. Participants will also learn tools to manage anxiety and navigate changes in s*xual intimacy throughout pregnancy. Expecting parents of all gender identities, s*xual orientations, and relationship configurations are welcome to attend.
