We gathered in circle for a heart opening cacao ceremony with owner You could feel how much we as women are holding on to.

We are taught the meaning of strength is to hold it all together, but at what cost? Women are 80% more likely to develop an autoimmune disease because of how much we suppress and suffer in silence. The emotions we feel literally kill us if we don’t find a way to let them out. To share and be held space for. Sacred rage we are forced to suppress but is necessary to release so it doesn’t eat us up inside.

Anger is a call to action from our nervous system. That a boundary has been crossed. And we have the right to enforce those boundaries and express our anger.

I’m grateful for these safe spaces where women can come together and release pent up emotions.

Im grateful for the medicine of the cacao to open our hearts and pour love into ourselves.

Yes, being aware of what’s happening in the world is important AND making sure you take breaks to ground yourself is important too. Our nervous systems are not meant to take in this much chaos at once.
