Our 10 clinical massage therapists are all experienced practitioners who have trained in special techniques such as Asian Restorative Bodywork, Thai massage, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Prenatal Massage and Reiki. We are excited about our expanding space and will soon offer small group exercise classes to complement the bodywork done by our pro's.

Wow.. 60 days into Shelter In Place. It's a health marathon for sure, but we're doin' it! I know we are because we are getting those calls--- "My mousing hand is numb", "my migraine has lasted for four days", "I can't play airplane with my 2 year old because my back is spasming."

We are living with Lysol, being super-careful, checking to see that staff and clients are symptom free and safe to work on.

AND we are taking appointments. Chiropractic treatments? YES! New chiropractic clients? YES! Soft - tissue work? yeeeessssss..... (that is a cautious "yes" providing Dr. K can establish a clinical need for care and on a limited basis.)

Our Story

The Bodylux Rx team specializes in clinical massage therapy, chiropractic care and therapeutic bodywork for everyone from elite athletes and difficult injury cases to those just battling today's tough-on-us lifestyles. Kathleen Morris, D.C. is an established chiropractor specializing in the Activator Methods technique (low force adjusting.) Our 11 clinical massage therapists are all experienced practitioners who have trained in special techniques. We offer services ranging from very Eastern influenced therapy like Asian Restorative Bodywork, Ahiatsu, Shiatsu and Reiki and Reflexology to Western/physical therapy inspired bodywork. We are also highly educational and look forward to offering instructional classes and workshops in 2019.

Let us introduce you to our staff:

Dr. K has been a practicing chiropractor since 1993. A graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, she specializes in low force adjusting styles. She got into chiropractic work after considering physical therapy and athletic training for its "back to basics" approach to the human body. Or as she says, "it was too darn logical for the Capricorn in me to pass up." Services: Chiropractic-- treatment and evaluation Specialities: Advanced Activator Methods, Thompson Drop technique, Logan Basic. Interests: functional fitness, kettlebell training, plants (have you seen her office?), board games

Ewa sets the standard for the Bodylux RX. Delivering exceptional massage for over 15 years, Ewa is one of our "go-to" therapists. With a dual degree in European physical therapy and American massage therapy, she is versatile and uber-knowledgeable. She is one of our favorites for prenatal work, but specializes in reflexology and muscle release technique as well. Services: deep soft tissue massage, prenatal massage, reflexology. Specialities: prenatal, reflexology, muscle release technique and most recently-- cupping. Interests: Ewa is Polish-speaking and loves to ski and watching her daughter become a ballet dancer.

Ula (Ursula)-- pint-sized yet powerful, she is a rock and a pillar for us. One of our favorites for pre-natal work, she also specializes in reflexology and muscle release technique. She is a 15 year veteran of massage work and has a degree in European physical therapy on top of it. Don't let her petiteness fool you-- she is amazingly strong. Services: prenatal massage, deep tissue therapy, reflexology, muscle release therapy. Specialities: prenatal massage, deep tissue massage, reflexology, muscle release technique. Interests: She's got a really green thumb. And she plays tennis.

Tony is a game changer. Potentially the deepest of our therapists, we have never tested him. He is the most specialized on our team-- being one of about 20 in the US professed in his technique. He does a type of Asian Restorative Bodywork called Danzan Ryu. A blend of techniques from Hawaii and Japan, it combines deep work with meridian work (think acupuncture.) His degree is a four year one and sits under the Traditional Chinese Medicine umbrella. Services: Asian Restorative Bodywork, deep tissue massage. Specialities: Danzan Ryu. Interests: Tony is a black belt in Jiu Jitsu. His technique is founded in part in that discipline. He and his brother have a school for this technique.

Jenny is a gentle giant. Her clinical massage work is comfy and effective. She does CUPPING for the RX. Bragging a bit--Jenny is one the most powerful Reiki therapists we have ever worked with. The combination of Shiatsu and Reiki should be patented. She has added cranio-sacral work to her list of possibilities as well. Great stuff. If anyone mentions being stressed out, we think of Jenny. She is fantastic for anyone in the performance industry. Services: cupping and moxa, clinical massage, relaxation massage, prenatal massage, cranio-sacral therapy, reiki. Specialties: cupping, reiki, cranio-sacral therapy. Interests: she likes rock stars and relaxing in the sun.

Jacqulyn. Where to begin? Her resume is about 3 pages long. She is definitely deep in pressure. She is our first choice for postural stuff. She is also a doula-- so a great option for prenatal care. If you are interested in a particular style of massage-- Jac probably does it. Services: DEEP soft tissue massage, structural integration, prenatal massage, thai massage and moving cupping. Specialties: Structural Integration (aka rolfing), prenatal massage, cupping. Interests: Jac has been awarded for her work in youth leadership and empowerment in her community. She hula hoops and completed a 30 day headstand challenge recently.

Enelise specializes in deep myofascial release and Kinesio-taping. She is unafraid to get in and work with tough, tight muscles, but her smooth style makes it possible to handle her depth. Kinesio-taping is helpful for decompression, pain relief, circulation and muscle support. Services: deep soft tissue massage, prenatal massage. Specialities: Kinesio-taping, weightlifters and cross-fit athletes. Interests: Olympic weightlifting and Crossfit.

Erich has a knack for combining deep soft tissue work in a calming, relaxing way. However, his Ashiatsu (bars overhead/barefoot) work is really fun. His leg series is probably the best on our team. As a client, you can handle more depth with the broad contact of his foot. Services: deep soft tissue massage, Ashiatsu, prenatal massage. Specialities: Ashiatsu. Interests: Erich is a professional singer.

Mario exemplifies what can be done with clinical massage. He's a fixer-- with a degree in European physical therapy and American massage therapy. As an athlete-- he understands training, injury prevention, performance and injury care. He has extensive experience with triathletes, marathoners, and strength athletes. Bodybuilders and power lifters-- Mariusz is your guy! Services: sports massage, deep soft tissue massage, injury care. Specialities: athletic performance, sports massage, acute injury care. Interests: Mario used to be a competitive speed skater. And he speaks Polish.

As a former professional soccer player, Piotr is no stranger to pain. He can relate, if you are hurting. He pursued a degree in European physical therapy and combines it with his massage work for the RX. He loves to know what your MRI says. We love him for neck and shoulder work and care for troublesome knees. Runners -- Piotr is a great resource for you. Services: sports massage and performance, injury care and prevention, deep soft tissue massage. Specialties: sports massage, deep soft tissue massage. Interests: Piotr's favorite sayings? "There are no miracles -- just hard work" and "Do your best-- forget the rest."

How do you solve a problem? Mariia! Ukraine trained, Mariia excels at deep soft tissue work. She is one of our favorites for neck and shoulder issues. Mariia will be introducing a stretching service in July. We are excited! Services: deep soft tissue therapy, prenatal massage, stretching. Specialties: deep tissue therapy, stretching, neck and shoulder issues. Interests: Mariia tried Miami out-- but now she's back! Yay for us.

Emily has gone out of her way to study, master, conquer all things sacrum (tailbone). More than just back pain, sacral issues can involve breathing, posture, circulation, headaches and more. Emily’s other specialty is Trauma Informed Therapy and works with clients who have traumatic events in their past that make it tough to get worked ON. Services: deep soft tissue therapy, prenatal massage, reiki. Specialties: sacral therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy. Interests: Emily is a new (ish) mom and married to a massage therapist. How happy is her daughter?
