Level One Theraplay® & MIM training | Chicago, IL

A Theraplay Group is an adult-directed, structured play group incorporating playful, cooperative and nurturing activities to enhance the emotional well-being of children.

Unlike other play group approaches, Theraplay learning takes place on a non-verbal level. Instead of talking about positive social behavior, the group leaders and children DO positive social interaction. Positive messages from the group interaction gradually become a part of the child’s internal sense of self.

Group Theraplay training is for professionals who want to use Theraplay with family groups, therapeutic groups, in school settings, residential settings, and more.

*Prerequisite: Level 1 Theraplay & MIM. All of these trainings take place immediately after a Level One Theraplay® & MIM training in the same location.

Please join us in congratulating Adriana Bagnulo from France. She is now a Certified Theraplay Practitioner.

"I am a Psychologist and hold a PhD in Psychology, with a specialization in attachment theory. I began my Theraplay training five years ago and quickly started introducing this approach to the parents who came to me for consultations about their children. I was amazed to see how much positive change occurred in parent–child relationships through this work.

To deepen my understanding, I completed an additional specialization in attachment theory, which I finalized a year ago. Now, I would like to continue my Theraplay training to become a supervisor and trainer, so that more psychologists in France can offer this rich approach.

On a more personal note, I was born in Uruguay, where I grew up and completed my psychology studies. At the age of 25, I moved to France to pursue my PhD, and I have been living here ever since. I have two children, aged 21 and 20. I love traveling, spending time with my family and friends, and I am truly passionate about my work. I’m always eager to keep learning and discovering new things!"
