7 Days Left! ⏳

This therapy session is only possible because of your kindness. We’re still working to hit our monthly goal so we can keep these doors open and these programs running.

Will you help us finish the month strong for our members?

Wait... do we have a star in the building or what? 🎤

So, we’re all just hanging out at the Clubhouse this week, and Otis starts talkin' real big. He says he sounds just like Tank and Keith Sweat! For real.

Now, we know Otis got soul, but those are some big shoes to fill.

What do y'all think? Do you actually want to hear him sing?

If we get enough "YES" or "🎤" in the comments, I’m dropping the video of Otis in the next post. Don’t leave him hanging!

Running a nonprofit isn't just about the "wins"—it’s about the quiet, stressful moments in between.

Right now, the Medicaid system is backed up. For our members, that means waiting months for basic care. For me as a founder, it means working for free to keep the lights on and the doors open.

I’m not sharing this for sympathy. I’m sharing it because the hunger, the therapy needs, and the isolation don’t "pause" while we wait for a check. We keep showing up because our members are family.

If you believe no one should be left behind by a system delay, please consider a small donation today. Every bit keeps us moving when the system slows down. 💙

We asked our members: "What if MBIC closed its doors?" 💔
The answers we got were a powerful reminder that MBIC is so much more than just a building. For neighbors living with a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), this Clubhouse is a second home, a support system, and a place where they finally feel understood.

TBI can feel like a very lonely journey, but here, no one walks alone. Whether it's learning to cook again, finding a job, or just sharing a laugh over a healthy meal—we are a family.

We need your help to keep these doors open. 🏠✨

Every bit helps us stay a "home away from home" for those who need us most. Thank you for being so compassionate! 💙

Why does this month matter? Because hope needs a home. 🏠🌱

Many people are told that after a certain amount of time, they won't improve anymore. At MBIC, we know that’s not true. We see breakthroughs every day—even years after an injury.

Awareness matters because it fuels the resources that make these breakthroughs possible. When you donate, you aren't just giving money; you’re giving someone their confidence back.

Help us keep hope alive this month:

💚 $100 – Practical tools for our Business Unit.
💚 $250 – Vital therapy sessions.
💚 $500 – Nutritious meals for our community.

Every bit helps. Click the link in our bio to support a neighbor today. 🔗 https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=ARTSNRQMKPCHA

❓Did you know the kitchen is one of the best "classrooms" for brain recovery?

💚 Here’s a simple way to practice at home:

1️⃣The "One-Tray" Challenge: Choose a recipe with only 3 steps. Write them down in big letters. Checking off those boxes as you go gives your brain a "win" and helps with organization.

2️⃣The Scent Check: Smelling different spices (cinnamon, lemon, pepper) can stimulate the olfactory system, which is closely linked to memory and emotion.

These small wins in the kitchen lead to a lifetime of independence.

We have just a few hours left in our 3-Day Challenge—will you donate today to make sure our kitchen 'classroom' stays open for everyone who needs it?

When you support MBIC, you aren't just "giving to a charity"—you’re helping a neighbor find their footing again.

As we head into the final hours of our 3-Day Challenge, we wanted to show you exactly what happens when our community steps up with those larger, game-changing gifts:

💚 $100 provides a full week of healthy, home-cooked meals and nutrition classes. For a member facing food insecurity, this is more than a meal—it's health and dignity.

💚 $250 funds specialized therapy—like music or art—that helps someone rediscover their voice and confidence after a life-changing injury or diagnosis.

💚 $500 powers a month of our job-readiness program. This is the bridge that helps a member build a resume, practice interviews, and find a path to a steady paycheck.

Every gift, no matter the size, is a building block for someone’s future. We’ve been a part of the Chicagoland community for 25 years because you’ve always had our back.

Let’s finish these last few hours strong. Can we count on you to help us reach the finish line?

Every dollar raised today goes directly toward life-changing support—like speech therapy, mental health resources, and warm meals for those facing food insecurity.

A gift of $100 helps provide the tools for our job-readiness workshops.

A gift of $500 helps us expand our therapeutic services for families in crisis.

No matter the size, your contribution sends a clear message: no one in our community should have to navigate their journey alone. Help us cross the finish line?

Recovery is more than just a doctor’s visit. 🧠💙

For someone living with a brain injury, "getting better" isn't just about medicine. It’s about relearning how to live.

When you leave the hospital, the world can feel loud, confusing, and lonely. That’s where the MBIC Clubhouse comes in. We aren't a clinic; we are a community.

Inside our doors, members practice "The Art of Living":

➡ The Kitchen Unit: Relearning how to follow a recipe and chop veggies safely.

➡ The Business Unit: Getting back into the rhythm of an office, answering phones, and staying organized.

➡ The Wellness Unit: Finding peace through music and art therapy.

Our 3-Day $5,000 Challenge is halfway over. If 200 of us give just $25, we can keep these vital "life-practice" sessions free for our members.

Will you help a neighbor find their "new normal"?
