I can probably speak for many of my colleagues that licensed acupuncturists are at a unique situation where we tend to be a lot of people’s “last resort” before our clients go towards surgery or other more invasive procedures. So many times (and with a bit of patience), acupuncture and/or cupping have turned things around for my clients, which has changed their healing trajectory for the better! Why not give it a try?

After twelve entire years, I finally put up an awning! Don’t ask why I didn’t do it earlier, but isn’t she lovely?!

Purple Cloud Healing & Wellness is a holistic healing studio specializing in traditional Chinese acupuncture and cupping, for the treatment of mental/emotional wellness, musculoskeletal pain, digestive wellness, neurodivergent fatigue/burnout care, and much more.

Exciting news at Purple Cloud! 🥳🎉🗣️📣

Meet Joey Pham, amazing guest practitioner at Purple Cloud who will be providing Japanese Zen Shiatsu bodywork for a limited time starting on September 10th!

Zen Shiatsu is a form of bodywork originating from Japan that works wonders for pain, digestive discomforts, and mental/emotional wellness. I personally love it, as it was the first healing modality I learned before enrolling into TCM school!

More about Joey Pham: Joey (they/them) is a holistic practitioner of Vietnamese descent, whose practices are rooted in decolonization and shadow work. After spending years as a chef and s*x educator, they decided to be of service to others through healing with Asian body work, shamanic energy work, and divination. They are a certified shamanic practitioner, and are currently completing their massage license at Zen Shiatsu. They trust that the mind, body, and soul’s self-healing abilities come forward through being seen and compassionately held. Their biggest inspirations are nature, their mentors, house music, play, and radical love & radical responsibility.

For new clients to Purple Cloud, the price is $70, and for returning friends, the price is $50-70 (pay what you can). How accessible, these treatments are normally double the price ($100-150)!

Fun news! I have been asked by the Infinity Foundation to join their faculty as a Qigong Instructor!

Before 2020, I held qigong classes at Purple Cloud, but now the classes are back at a new, more spacious location at the Infinity Foundation in Highland Park for a six-week continuum, starting February 27th. I’ll be teaching the rudimentary principles, movements (Gift of the Tao), and meditations (Jing D**g Gong) behind the system that I’ve studied over the past 14 years. The class is great for seekers of energetic wisdom, and for healers, the techniques can enhance your ability to utilize energy in your endeavor to help others!

The class is $115 for six classes, starting every Tuesday from February 27th till April 9th, from 9am till 10:30am, at Infinity Foundation: 1280 Old Skokie Road, Highland Park, IL 60035.

The school is offering CEU’s for an extra $20 fee for several types of health occupations (Acupuncturists included!) for nine CEU credits!

Purple Cloud celebrates ten years!

I don’t have the words to express the joy I feel about Purple Cloud’s amazing milestone, but what I can say is how grateful I am to all who have supported Purple Cloud, and my endeavor to make my little place in a sacred and safe space for authentic connection, compassion, and healing for all people.

There were always bumps on the road: my rookie/first year’s blues, wax and wane of the economy, the pandemic, and other tough lessons learned. But I persevered, and held on to my belief that my intent to heal my community is strong enough to always learn, improve, and do better.

Thank you, everyone, and special thanks to my amazing and bad ass cousin for being a part of this video. 💜💜💜
