The power of “no”
A “yes” to one thing is also a “no” to something else. However a “no” to one thing could also mean a “yes” to something that really matters.
We all have to learn (even at a young age) the importance of declining requests that don’t align with your goals to protect your time & energy for the things that matter.
Build and maintain a sense of focus. Give your energy to things you actively choose, and practice letting go of things you do not. Try not to get get distracted and be taken away from the things that matter most to you.
On this particular Sunday morning I knew I needed to say “no”. For our family, Sunday is usually all family day. But I knew I needed some me time. I knew I had to say “no” to the family activities so I could say “yes” to myself.
Dear Mamas, remember to put your own oxygen mask on first, before helping your children, your partner or anyone else. You deserve the power to say “no”.
