So many spiritual celebrations and observations happening together right now - Passover, Easter weekend, Ramadan, and even a full moon! The stars and cosmos dictate when the holidays occur, and they all share highly holy connection with themes of resilience, and rebirth. I hope this weekend brings you the feeling you are in need of, and a feeling a hope for what’s to come.

Did you know we’re subconsciously attracted to one another pheromones and immune systems? I think about that on dating apps! Like, you wouldn’t a scratch and sniff option (lol), but also, where’s the instant pull and chemistry from an IRL interaction??
Attract what you desire with our hand-poured, organic Soften + Soothe hand balm that doubles as the perfect summer solid perfume - with warm amber notes that mix with your own pheromones to really make the scent all yours. We guarantee you be addicted to this lover.

Spring things: mushrooms for allergies relief, dreamy design for visioning + inspiration, bright citrus cats because we all can use a friend, and a photo of Anthony Bourdain because no reason necessary.

Stretching is such a great representation of how much farther we can go when we were flexible. I loved this stretch series so much that I asked if I could share it with you all.

Happy Nowruz (+1 day) - aka Persian New Year. I know it can feel weird to celebrate anything at the moment, with the world in so much visible pain, but this holiday, that aligns with the Spring Equinox, is all about new beginnings and hope - and we can all use some of that!
I didn’t grow up knowing very much about my paternal Persian roots (a mix of the Middle Eastern on my dad’s side) - so it’s special to see people’s “haft-sin” for the holiday - an intentional arrangement of seven symbolic items, and others to represent nature/rebirth (grass), the passage of time (clock), fertility (eggs), a mirror (self-reflection), sumac spice (the symbol of sunshine), a candle for enlightenment, and more.
What would you lay out on your haft-sin?

Simplicity Sundays. No one would call me a minimalist, but this Spring, I’m committing to taking tasks off my table on Sundays as a antidote for “the scaries.” It’s cool to want to “get ahead” on the “day of rest” but those two goals are kind of polar opposites. So, for me, this day is about doing what feels supportive for feeling prepared, but also, giving myself space to play around. What can you simplify today?

As an herbalist, I couldn’t help but swoon walking into this boutique that smells like warm luxury, sprouted from the earth. Here are some moments from in Mexico City, a botanical, local plant-inspired fragrance line that manages to be so chic and organic at once.

Spring is hopeful, and it can also be difficult for people. If you are feeling down, depleted, or overwhelmed, seeing the world come back to life, can make you feel disconnected with this “optimism” and new motion. In fact, after autumn, spring - another transitional season - is full of breakups, departures, endings, and even suicides. We are all at different places, dealing with individual situations and opportunities, losses, and more, so do your best with the cards being dealt atm, and check in with your people.

It’s giving Sunday tub time w/ Bambi, and…we’re here for it? Since 99% of Chicago is waking up hungover today (with St. Patrick’s Day + time change), try a deep soak with Epsom salts, that will pull toxins out of the body and leave you feeling a little more human. Maybe skip the stuffed animals.

Happy Friday! As the saying goes, alcohol isn’t the answer, but it might help you forget the question.
Pick your poison/potion wisely - whether you’re a drinker, sober or sober curious, the good news is that celebrating is for everyone.
We hope you get to raise a glass this weekend, and toast yourself because YOU ARE DOING GREAT.
