Wind your week down at 7 p.m. Thursday with a 90 minute Nidra Flow. David’s Deep Rest workshop blends two powerful aspects of yoga: gentle, flowing movement and the deeply restorative power of Yoga Nidra.

After a brief warmup, relax into a guided meditation often described as yogic sleep, which is known to enhance sleep, reduce stress, and foster emotional balance.

This week, our focus is loving kindness—toward ourselves and toward one another.

Join us at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14 for Together in Flow: A Valentine’s Day Partner Practice, a workshop designed to explore connection through supported movement, shared presence, and intentional moments of care. This practice is open to all kinds of pairs, not just romantic partners. Come with a friend, family member, or anyone you feel deeply connected to, and experience how yoga can strengthen bonds both on and off the mat.

Making space for creativity or mindfulness this year? You can do both this Saturday at a vision board workshop at Namaskar.

founder Carly Lochmandy is a certified yoga teacher whose program incorporates the art of collage with guided visualization and mediation.

“Art and yoga have the same goals. Both practices invite you out of your head and into your body,” Carly said. “Movement can loosen what’s stuck, and art gives it somewhere to land.”

No artistic skill or experience are required to participate and all supplies are provided. Carly said developing a creative practice can help to relieve stress, as well as inspire engagement and curiosity throughout your daily life. At the end of the practice you’ll have created a tangible visual anchor which reflects your goals for 2026.

“A new year naturally creates a pause,” Carly said. “A moment where we can step back and ask how we actually want to feel and show up for ourselves.”

Carly’s Clarify & Manifest: A Vision Board Workshop for 2026 will take place from 12:45-3:30 p.m. Jan. 10 at Namaskar Yoga Studio.

Namaskar Teacher Spotlight 🌀

Ania Plachta closes out her Namaskar Yin classes with the zen guidance to “Live like the lotus, at home in muddy waters.” She said her intention is for her students to immediately feel better, and leave class walking on sunshine.

She said she gravitated to Namaskar for its rare community, with our wide ranging ages and abilities. Yogis have the opportunity to reset their energy with Ania three times per week:

Yin from 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Fridays
Flow 75 from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. Saturdays
Slow Flow 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturdays

Namaskar Teacher Spotlight 🌀

Ania Plachta closes out her Namaskar Yin classes with the zen guidance to “Live like the lotus, at home in muddy waters.” She said her intention is for her students to immediately feel better, and leave class walking on sunshine.

A former dancer, Ania’s decade’s long yoga practice was sparked by its pretty shapes. She gravitated to Namaskar for its rare community, with our wide ranging ages and abilities.

Yogis have the opportunity to reset their energy with Ania three times per week:

This solstice we’re honoring the light Lance Hoagland shines on the studio through his long-standing gentle yoga classes.

Focus on flexibility and mindfulness with Lance throughout his schedule of Namaskar classes:

9 a.m. Monday - Flow 75
12 p.m. Monday - Flow Hour
10:30 a.m. Tuesday - Gentle Yoga
9 a.m. Wednesday - Flow 75
4 p.m. Saturday - Flow 75

Lance said he’s taught at Namaskar for the last ten years because he loves this community as well as the great vibe at the studio. He passes on the good energy by closing out these classes by offering, “may beings everywhere be happy and free.”
