With Thanksgiving coming up, a fun and meaningful activity to do with your child is making a thankful handprint turkey! Start by tracing your child’s hand on a piece of paper — the fingers will become the turkey’s feathers and the thumb will be its head. Have your child color and decorate each “feather,” writing something they're thankful for on each one. Add eyes, a beak, and legs to complete the turkey, then display it proudly for the holiday!

Today we celebrate World Kindness Day! This special day is all about spreading positivity and remembering how much a little kindness can mean. Whether it’s a smile, a helping hand, or a thoughtful word, every act counts. It’s also a great time to show our children how compassion and empathy can make a lasting difference in the lives of others. Let’s all take a moment to share a little extra kindness today and every day!

A fun activity you and your child will love is to have a story box adventure. Gather a few small toys or household items and place them in a box — things like a car, spoon, ball, or stuffed animal work great. Take turns pulling out one item at a time and describing it together, or, you can even make up a short story about the item! Encourage your child to use their imagination. This playful activity helps build vocabulary and storytelling skills — all while sharing lots of laughs and creativity.

Looking to support your baby’s development in a fun and engaging way? Featured therapist Mia highly recommends a baby play gym! She shared, “One ‘toy’ every baby (0–12 months) can benefit from is a baby play gym. I love the Fisher-Price or Baby Einstein options with the piano that can be turned to prop their hands on in early supported sitting!” https://amzn.to/434fk4V

Featured therapist Mia shared that one activity she highly recommends is using children’s play couches and forts to support development through play. She said, “I love children’s play couches/forts; they can be used with your child from infancy to beyond school-aged years. They are great to use to support early mobility with a soft surface for your infant to play. Then they are a nice uneven surface for a balance challenge for new walkers and a safe spot to begin to practice stepping on and off curbs to promote stair climbing skills. I suggest the original Nugget Play Couch, Yourigami Kids Convertible Play Fort, Member's Mark Kids' Explorer Sofa, and many many more.”
