Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation

Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation Pancreatic cancer is the 4th leading cause of cancer related deaths in the United States.

Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation is dedicated to providing personal support to those affected by Pancreatic Cancer through tailored resources, connections and education, and funding for early detection research. Over 43,000 Americans are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer each year and sadly, only 4% will survive five years. Yet in 2010, the National Cancer Institute allocated only 2% of its funding to pancreatic cancer research.

Pancreatic cancer is often detected too late — more than 80% of cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage, when treatment options are limited. 💜🕊️

That’s why awareness matters, and why our work continues every day. Through our Four Pillars — Funding Research, Personalizing Support, Raising Awareness, and Creating Community — Rolfe Foundation is committed to changing how early pancreatic cancer is detected and understood. 🔬💜

💜 Thank you for an unforgettable night.

The Progress Forward Gala brought our community together in the most meaningful way — people from every part of the Rolfe family standing with one purpose.

Our honorees shared a heartfelt moment together before the program began, connecting and reflecting on what this mission means. It was powerful to witness.

We also welcomed more patients and families than ever before and celebrated our largest attendance to date — and our largest audience to date came together with incredible generosity during the paddle raise.

Thank you for showing up with so much heart — and for helping move progress forward. ✨💜

💜 Today is World Pancreatic Cancer Day—an important reminder of why awareness and early detection matter.

Because early symptoms can be vague, many people don’t recognize the signs right away. Raising awareness and starting conversations truly moves us toward earlier diagnoses and greater hope. 🎗️

Our community continues to show the heart and purpose that fuel this work—every event, every volunteer, every voice.

As we honor this day and come together at tonight’s Progress Forward Gala, we’re reminded how meaningful it is to support resources that help families facing pancreatic cancer.

Could you spot the symptoms of pancreatic cancer? They can be subtle — but knowing them early can make all the difference.

At Rolfe Foundation, we’re focused on early detection, education, and compassionate support for everyone affected by pancreatic cancer.

Here are a few symptoms to pay attention to:
⚠️ Unexplained weight loss
⚠️ Indigestion or loss of appetite
⚠️ Mid-back or stomach pain
⚠️ Yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice)
⚠️ Changes in stool
⚠️ New-onset diabetes

If you’re experiencing one or more of these, reach out to your doctor — and learn more at https://www.rolfefoundation.org/for-patients/know-your-risk/

👉 Educate loved ones about the risks and symptoms of pancreatic cancer.

Awareness saves lives — and progress starts when we face the facts, together. 💜

Last month, our team visited Endeavor Health Grainger Center for Simulation & Innovation with partners from Rush University System for Health to see how robotic-assisted surgery is transforming patient care.

Guided by Dr. Bridget Wild and Syed Abbas Mehdi, we watched the Intuitive
da Vinci Surgical System in action — the same technology used by Rush surgeons in minimally invasive pancreatic and abdominal procedures. The da Vinci’s 3D vision and wristed instruments give surgeons greater precision, range of motion, and access — even in the smallest spaces.

For patients, that precision means less trauma, faster recovery, and lower risk of complications. It’s innovation with a heartbeat — helping people return to their lives and loved ones sooner.

💜 Precision that heals
💜 Technology guided by compassion
💜 Hope in motion

We’re proud to support progress that brings breakthroughs like this to patients and families facing pancreatic cancer. Together, we’re pushing progress forward — one innovation at a time.

70 Acts. Endless Kindness. One Beautiful Legacy.

Zoe Kofkin and her family are turning heartbreak into hope — honoring what would’ve been their mom Sandy’s 70th birthday with 70 Acts of Kindness.

Sandy was the kind of person who made everyone feel seen. Now, her family is inviting all of us to do the same — one act of kindness at a time.

Hold a door. Donate a meal. Call someone you love. Or make a gift in Sandy’s honor to a cause close to her heart, like Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation. 💜

Let’s keep Sandy’s kindness moving forward →
