What if one of the toughest cancers to detect could be understood earlier and treated more effectively? 🔬

For years, we’ve proudly funded Dr. Laura Delong Wood at Johns Hopkins Medicine, supporting her work to uncover how pancreatic cancer develops in its earliest stages and to find new ways to detect it sooner.

She’s also exploring innovative, nature-inspired approaches, like studying proteins from tardigrades, tiny but incredibly resilient organisms, to help protect cells from damage. 🧬

Her research is bringing us closer to earlier detection and better outcomes for patients.

We are saddened by the passing of David Simon, a visionary leader whose work created spaces where millions of people could gather, connect, and enjoy everyday moments.

After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2024, he faced a disease that continues to affect far too many families.

At Rolfe Foundation, this loss is a reminder of why our mission matters—raising awareness, supporting families, and advancing early detection.

We honor his legacy and stand with all those impacted. 💜
