Pancreatic cancer typically starts in the exocrine cells, which help break down food. However, there's a less common form that begins in the endocrine cells, which produce hormones. It's crucial to ask your doctor about the type of pancreatic cancer you have and discuss the available treatment options.

✨ $2.15B acquisition by Exact Sciences
✨ Detects signals from 50+ cancers
✨ 68% sensitivity across several of the deadliest cancers

This is what your impact looks like—early ideas becoming real possibilities for families facing pancreatic cancer.

Thanks to The Goldberg Family’s “Matching for a Cure” campaign, our community’s generosity went even further, with donations matched up to $30K.

“The funds from Rolfe are incredibly helpful because they let us take this information that we’re building for other purposes and be able to apply it to early detection research.” 🪡🔬

Dr. Alex Muir’s team at UChicago Medicine is advancing pancreatic cancer detection by studying biomarkers in lymphatic and interstitial fluid—a promising, less-invasive pathway for earlier diagnosis. Research like this shows why Rolfe seed grants are critical for breakthroughs, and your support makes progress like this possible. 💜

Almost $1K was raised to kick off Giving Tuesday, helping families facing pancreatic cancer today and advancing the research that gives them hope for tomorrow. With matched gifts, that impact reached even farther than anyone imagined.

Your year-end gift can keep that hope moving forward. Every contribution — no matter the size — brings us closer to a future where early detection is possible and families never face this disease alone. 💜
