I was recently interviewed by Dina Bair at WGN regarding the rare blood clots seen in the veins of the brain in a handful of patients who received the J&J vaccine. The vaccine pause comes after 6 patients were found to have it out of close to 7 million who received the vaccine. The bottom line is that we would expect to see these clots in 5-15 patients out of 1 million, a rate that nearly triples for patients who are infected with COVID-19. Rush University Medical Center

Groundbreaking for Rush University Medical Center's new outpatient center is just a few weeks away. The 10-story, 500,000-square-foot building, located across Ashland Avenue from the current campus, will be the new home for Rush's neurology and neurosurgery programs and the Rush University Cancer Center.
