Hello, Facebook, I've been meaning to post this for quite awhile. I can't tell you how excited and honored I am to be a part of this landmark trial. We are studying treatments for dry skin in newborns and the effects it may have on the allergic march which includes eczema, food allergy, asthma, and allergic rhinitis! Study subjects with dry skin in the first 2 months of life would qualify. Please let anyone know who might be interested, unfortunately kids are usually too old by the time they hit our clinics!

Wonderful work adding to our "Big 8" with sesame. Allergists have been including seeds as another major food allergy group for years, but improving the labels will make patients safer.

Bill will add sesame as the ninth major allergen, require the federal government to analyze research opportunities to help develop more effective treatments for food allergy

As all of you know, COVID-19 has hit Chicago and is just 1-2 weeks behind NYC in the curve. Hundreds of COVID patients are already in area ICUs and dozens are on ventilator support.

Giving healthcare workers N95 level masks is essential to keeping them and their patients from getting infected. Preventing healthcare worker infections keeps them and their teams in the fight. Tragically we are losing health care providers (60 in Italy so far), and those who test positive, as well as those who had contact with them, must get temporarily pulled. Losing multiple healthcare providers even for a short time is catastrophic to the fight against COVID-19 and the care of critically ill patients.

At this time, N95 masks will cost us $4 per unit to get them from an FDA/NIOSH-approved factory in China to Chicago. With a tragic environment of fake masks, we feel confident in the reliability and the heart of the companies we will work with. If you are able, please help bring N95s level masks to those fighting for all of us in Chicago.

Please check your EpiPens. The window should be clear, and the blue cap should not be raised. As always, remember:

1. remove the blue cap ideally with at least two fingers
2. orange end goes to the thigh ("orange to thigh, blue to sky"
3. Press EpiPen into the thigh until a click is heard
4. Hold in place for 3 seconds
