Getting real with you here on this fine Chicago Friday. Healing is not a destination - it’s a journey. While that’s a cliche statement - it’s cliche because it’s true. Listen to learn more. In the meantime, I’ve got this and you’ve got this! Give yourself some grace, keep going and don’t give up!

Imagine waking up feeling ready for your day - present in your life, not in pain.

And imagine having the tools to help stop pain in its tracks with something as simple as a foam roller or therapy ball.

A lot of people think that rolling for 30 seconds is enough to count as myofascial release - but I’m here to tell you - that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Rolling can offer temporary relief and improve circulation, but it doesn’t create real change in the fascial system. When it comes to fascial release, time and technique matter. Holding the release longer than 30 seconds is key.

That’s why, since 2016, I’ve offered workshops both online and in person to teach people how to effectively release fascial tissue for lasting relief.

And this Saturday, April 4th, I’m inviting you to Chi Yoga Shack for an introductory class on fascial release from 2:30–4:30 p.m. DM me the word ‘fascia’ and I’ll send you the link. Or checkout my ‘Workshops and Healing Circles’ 🔗 in bio.

I can’t wait to share more with you then.
Till next time, be well and take good care of you.

Your nervous system wasn’t built for this much noise.

These days it can feel like you’re living in constant fight-flight-or freeze - overwhelmed, numb, or exhausted from trying to keep up.

The truth is, the issues reside in your tissues - if gone unchecked and unaddressed. Yet, there’s hope! The body (our tissues) can also be your pathway back to calm, connection, and resilience.

Swipe through to explore how you can begin to support your nervous system and widen your window of tolerance - one small step at a time.

I’d love to hear in the comments: What helps you come back to center when the world feels overwhelming?

If this speaks to you, I currently have three spots open this month for a complimentary 30-minute call to explore 1:1 or group bodywork and nervous system coaching. DM me to learn how you can set up your call.

Until next time, be well and take good care of you.

It’s been such a joy and honor sharing the magic of myofascial release with my fellow humans in the yoga community lately, especially during my Friday classes .

For my Bucktown/Wicker Park folks, I’m extra excited to offer a brand new Myofascial Release Workshop at one of my favorite studios, , on Saturday, April 4th from 2:30–4:30 PM. Anytime I practice there, it feels like a little retreat in the city - so nourishing, welcoming, and deeply grounding.

If you’re feeling called to take really good care of your body, learn more about how your myofascial system works, and pick up simple self-care techniques you can use between sessions, this is for you.

Registration link is in my stories (🔗 in bio) - save your spot and come melt with me. I can’t wait to see you there!

Bringing it ALL together today - starting off with my interpretation of a quote from one of my Craniosacral mentors, Sara Johnston🙌🏼💕

Myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and somatic coaching are still considered “newer” forms of support for most people, so it’s totally normal to wonder what’s actually happening in a session.

Today’s post breaks it down for you:
• how the myofascial system works
• how the craniosacral system works
• how your mental–emotional patterns shape your tension patterns

We’re not just releasing restrictions in your physical fascial system - we’re also supporting new mental - emotional frameworks, so you can feel better in your body and your mind.

When clients understand this, they receive the work with more openness, and the impact often goes much deeper.

I get questions like:
✨ What is myofascial release?
✨ What is craniosacral therapy?
✨ What is somatic coaching?
✨ How can this actually help me?
✨ Why would I want to do this?

If any of those have crossed your mind, this post is for you. It’s a simple 101 on how these pieces come together to support your healing, movement, and life patterns.

Take a moment to listen through, let it land in your body, and if it resonates with where you are on your journey, whether your in Chicago or not (as my work extends well past in-person work and into the virtual realm!) - send me a DM to learn how you can begin your somatic coaching journey ✨

What a beautiful journey this year has been.

Women’s circles are sacred spaces - places to come exactly as you are. No masks, no fixing, no “shoulds.” Just being present, seen, and heard for who you truly are.

In circle, we remember that healing doesn’t always come from doing, but from being - being witnessed, being held, being connected with other women walking their own paths of growth and renewal.

Tonight marks our final circle of 2025, and what an honor it’s been to hold this space over the past year. Every story shared, every tear, every moment of laughter and silence has been medicine.

Here’s to the circles yet to come in the new year - to continuing to gather, heal, and rise together.
