We love beginners. Our beautiful space is right next to Winnemac Park. Be Yoga offers a fun 26-posture hot hatha yoga series that works the entire body from inside out. Suitable for all ages and skill levels, this 90-minute class is designed to systematically move fresh oxygenated blood to every cell in the entire body, as well as work the entire spine through which the entire nervous system operates, thereby restoring all systems to their natural working order. If you have a healthy spine, you have a healthy life; all systems can then work the way they were intended to. Contact us today to get started! All levels, bodies are welcome. Day one of our magical yoga retreat is underway!! The energy from this lake is amazing. Yoga, swimming and pure joy. We are having the best time!

✨ Thank you for joining us for a very special Cacao Ceremony where we connected with our inner child ✨

It was a beautiful way to release any dense energy tha no longer serves us to make room for the truest and most loving nature of who we are. It was fun to connect again to the playfulness and joy of feeling like a child.

It was a little magic on a cold, dark night where we shared in community in harmony together. I am grateful.

We have had a powerful year, full of creativity, major community support and strength and LOVE.

We are so grateful to be doing what we love with our students.

To help people work on total freedom of movement from pain, and to be with those being open to trying has been our greatest gift. The first thing to change in people is their hearts… they begin to soften a little… be a little more open to joy.

As the year comes to a close, join us for an evening of reflection, connection, and warmth. Led by David Lagunas (he/him), this Cacao Circle invites you to slow down, open your heart, and reconnect with yourself and your community.

Long before chocolate became a treat we know today, pure cacao was used by ancient Mesoamerican Traditions in ritual and ceremony — a plant medicine for the heart. Today, cacao circles are being reawakened as powerful ways to pause, reflect, celebrate, and express gratitude for life’s everyday gifts.

In our modern world of constant stimulation, these ceremonies offer something rare: genuine stillness and connection. Each participant’s experience is unique, but many describe feelings of mental clarity, emotional release, creative inspiration, and renewed self-love.
Bring an intention to hold in your heart as we gather in community and ceremony.

Please bring:
A coffee mug for your cacao
Flowers to decorate the altar (a symbol of gratitude)
A blanket for warmth and comfort

About David
David Lagunas was born in Chicago and raised in Mexico, where his great-grandmother, Emelia, taught him to “merge with the spirit of life and allow yourself to be your true self.” From early walks in the forest before dawn to years of study in holistic medicine, David learned to bridge ancestral wisdom with modern healing practices.
Now back in Chicago, David combines his work in education with offering cacao circles and holistic modalities that help people reconnect with their most authentic selves.

Thank you for this most incredible year. We have come so far and are overjoyed to be in our beautiful new space on damen and Argyle with all of you! We are here because of you.

My favorite part of teaching is just watching you be willing to try… and to watch you change with many repetitions over time. It is beyond a physical thing. For most people, the most impactful changes happen, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

We are thankful for you, truly and deeply.

The practice of gratitude is the process of miracle making. It is the ability to teach yourself how to be in the present moment and it is the ability to simultaneously see what could be, what already is and what has already passed.

It helps you create abundance in your life, and it helps you create moments of joy. It is instantaneously transformative, even if nothing in the material world has changed.

Gratitude gives you the ability to recognize what is true that is true always. It gives you eyes to see where love already exists. Love is infinite and kind and patient. It is true now and always.

We are happy to see you whenever you can come!
