At the funeral of Martin Luther King Jr. in Atlanta on April 9, 1968, Jackie Kennedy quietly approached Coretta Scott King to offer her condolences, a moment that carried deep symbolic weight. Kennedy, who had lost her own husband to assassination just five years earlier, understood the sudden, public nature of such grief. The former First Lady hadn’t made many Public appearances since JFKs Death, but in this time at this moment she came understanding that kind of Grief!
Grief is hard to bare, hard to carry, hard to conceive, but even in Our own pay We may render comfort to someone in that place. 🙏🏽
Give Grace to 1 another cause it’s the same Grace We need to carry heavy loads. Certainly when it’s the same kind of Loss. Some calm it Trauma bonding. However, it’s the commonality in the Experience which can have 1 be receptive to Aid or listen to the other. It’s hard to help someone if you’ve never been “through it”
But Give Love and Grace as many of Us are the Walking Wounded!
We do still have Grief Support Resources available, including a Widower’s Support Group!
