The University of Illinois Cancer Center’s Oncogeneralist Training Program is shaping the next generation of leaders in and survivorship. In partnership with UI Health and Cook County Health the program equips clinicians with hands-on experience to address the complex medical and psychosocial needs of cancer survivors and to identify patients who may benefit from enhanced prevention strategies.

Through immersive rotations at the Mile Square Health Center, trainees gain exposure across the full cancer care continuum, in prevention, risk assessment, survivorship and population-based care, while serving some of Chicago’s most vulnerable communities.
