Last week, PEP!IN had the opportunity to both attend and speak at the Health Equity & Innovation Symposium hosted by the Center for Healthcare Innovation.

Our focus was clear: the importance of building inclusive clinical research, partnerships, and authentic community engagement. We shared how engagement not only raises awareness, but also supports informed decision-making and helps drive more equitable outcomes — particularly within underrepresented communities.

What we heard throughout the symposium reinforced why this work matters: equity and innovation can’t exist without engagement. From healthcare executives to patient advocates, there was a shared commitment to making sure communities are not just subjects of research, but partners in shaping it.

We left inspired, energized, and ready to deepen the work of empowering communities and advancing health equity together. 💜

Our Co-Founder & Chief Visionary Marketing Officer, Tamara R. Allen, joined hundreds of veterans, families, allies, and leaders—including Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson—at The National Veterans’ Rodeo & Resource Fair hosted by Behind.

Sharing a table with our new partner, the Multi-Faith Veterans Initiative (MVI), we connected directly with the veteran community, sharing our mission of:
✨ Empower underrepresented communities in health, wellness, and clinical research
✨ Ensure veterans’ voices are heard & represented
✨ Build partnerships that drive equity & impact

Together, PEP!IN in partnership with MVI Health Series, we are launching Veterans Pulse Checks—monthly conversations designed to center veteran voices, address health equity, and strengthen ties between clinical research and community support.
