Generational wealth is about so much more than money.

Yet research shows that 70% of wealth is lost by the second generation and 90% by the third. Often, it’s not just about finances. It’s about access to the right tools, guidance, and community support.

We believe lasting well-being comes from having the support you need to navigate life’s challenges.

CBA connects you to a support system for managing finances, housing, nutrition, and technology challenges so you can enjoy life in your home and your community.

The Center for Better Aging joins our community in remembering Rev. Jesse Jackson, a leader who spent his life fighting for fairness, opportunity, and respect for all people, especially Black communities.

On Chicago's South Side, he worked to make sure families had access to good jobs, healthy food, and the resources they needed. He believed that everyone deserves the chance to live a full and healthy life, no matter their background.

We honor Rev. Jackson’s legacy by continuing the work: strengthening our community and creating opportunities for people to age with dignity and purpose.

Breaking the Silence: Overcoming the Stigma of Hearing Loss

Today is World Hearing Day, and we’re highlighting an important fact: hearing loss affects 1 in 3 older adults.

Hearing changes can happen gradually, making them easy to overlook. Checking in on your hearing is a simple but important step toward staying connected and engaged.

If it’s been a while since your last wellness visit, consider asking about a hearing check.

Stress doesn’t go away with age, but the way we manage it usually changes.

Over time, many of us develop healthy ways of dealing with stress, stronger support systems, and a clearer sense of what truly matters. Those tools can make a meaningful difference.

Stress management is important at every stage of life. Building resilience, staying connected, and asking for help when you need it are all powerful reminders to stay stress-free. Read more from BlackDoctor.org:
