Join us at CWHC on Sunday, March 29th for the first Trans Health Group Clinic (THGC) of 2026. This group now has a new date.

THGC is a community-centered space for trans/gender-nonconforming people to discuss and learn about gender-affirming care in a confidential group setting. Attendees will also have access to gender-affirming care services such as one-on-one time with a nurse practitioner, routine blood testing, blood pressure reading, and routine hormone therapy.

For many who are invested or interested in gender-affirming care, grassroots community is necessary for finding trustworthy and reliable care resources. THGC integrates our trans health services into a space that fosters community growth and amplifies individual perspectives. This opportunity is available on a sliding scale of $50-$10. This does not include potential lab fees. Clients are welcome to use self-pay or insurance, and no one is turned away based on their ability to pay.

Interested? Learn more and sign up at www.chicagowomenshealthcenter.org/hrt-group-clinic.

When and where: Sunday, March 29th from 12pm-2pm, in-person at CWHC

What to expect: THGC is structured around group discussions and educational activities. Group discussion will be guided by the questions and interests of willing participants. Discussion topics can include:

-Navigating pharmacies/insurances and accessing affirmative care
-Techniques and methods for self-injection
-Resources for social, medical, and/or surgical transition
-Talking to family about HRT

CWHC’s Aligning Voice with Identity series is hosting two 4-part virtual educational series during the month of April. Each series will take place on the following Tuesday evenings: April 7th, April 14th, April 21st, and April 28th. Participants are welcome to join either the Level 1 or Level 2 group.

To learn more and register, visit www.chiagowomenshealthcenter.org/aligning-voice-with-identity.

Level 1 from 6:30-7:30pm CT: Empowering Gender-Affirming Voice Fundamentals

Have you wanted your voice to better align with your identity but don’t know where to begin? Or perhaps you have gone down the rabbit-hole of online offerings only to feel overwhelmed or misguided or don’t know how to embody the exercises you’ve found?

In Level 1 of our Aligning Voice with identity Series, participants will spend four sessions learning a holistic approach to gender-affirming voice that prioritizes confidence, ease, and authenticity. Work sessions are highly interactive as we foster a beautifully encouraging environment.

Level 2 from 7:45-8:45pm CT: Gender-Affirming Voice Workout

If you have experienced a voice class at CWHC or worked with John Patrick privately and want to continue your practice with a like-minded community, join us for a weekly workout in April! Participants will get back in shape with Active Breath support and dive deeply into the skills required to build consistency and confidence with their voice. Community building has as much value in this setting as the actual voice work, so participants will find these sessions equally rigorous as they are fun!

Both levels are offered on a sliding scale of $240-$0 per person, or $40-0 per session. Participants are encouraged to pay where they can on the scale. No one will be turned away based on the ability to pay. For questions about payment or the content of the series, please contact us at transhealth@chicagowomenshealthcenter.org.
