As we are in our hustle and bustle this weekend around the city, can we pay attention to areas where there is a larger population of people experiencing homelessness?

Can you share them with me?

Maybe under viaducts or a bridge in different neighborhoods around the city...or around a particular shelter?

Please let me know what you have seen or what you see this weekend.

We want to be a blessing to as many people experiencing homelessness across the city of Chicago.

🌟 Thank You, Audrey Woodley & Changing Oasis! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce that thanks to the generous donation from Audrey Woodley of Changing Oasis, we are able to reduce the price of attendance for our Chrysalis Program Annual Glamping Retreat by 50%! 🙌💖

📅 Event Overview:
🗓️ Dates: August 16th - 18th
🏕️ Location: Camp Sullivan

What to Expect:

Friday: Arrival (4:30-5 pm), manicures, pedicures, facials by black-owned cosmetology businesses, dinner, campfire snacks, and storytelling.
Saturday: Breakfast, hiking, social-emotional & life skills workshops, crafting, rock climbing, dinner, and a lively campfire party.
Sunday: Reflective discussion, giveaways, and pick-up by 11 am.
Logistics:

Limited Spots: Only 30 students.
Cost: $150 per person (now just $75 for the entire weekend for the next 20 students who register).
Deposit: $50 nonrefundable deposit to reserve each spot.
Discount: Use code GLAMP2024 to receive 50% off for 20 girls!
Participants should bring bedding, toiletries, towels, signed waivers, and other camping essentials (a detailed list will be provided).

Hey parents! 🌟 Get ready for an amazing summer experience for your kids! Our Chrysalis Program Summer Camp starts this Monday, July 1st, and runs through August 2nd, from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM.

📍 Location: 5017 South Hermitage Ave, 2nd Floor

Our camp offers a rich variety of activities, including: 📚 Reading and Math Support 🧠 Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) 🎬 Film 🎵 Music 💃 Dance 🎨 Creative Arts Workshops

Plus, we have exciting weekly field trips (note: some may have associated costs).

💡 Good news for low-income families! You may be eligible for a waiver to cover costs.

$100/week
15% sibling discount after 1st Child

Chrysalis Full-Day Summer Camp (M-F 8:30 am - 3pm):
$250/week
15% sibling discount

Drop-in fee: $75/full-day

Weekly Camp Fees: Must be paid 2 weeks in advance

(INCOME BASED SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE)

I'm excited to invite you to The Chrysalis Program's 8th Annual Tea Party! Join us for a day of good food, fun activities, creative arts, and the chance to dress up in your best tea time outfits. And, of course, we'll be enjoying some delicious tea!

This event costs $5 for students under 17 years old and $10 for each adult. We've got an ice breaker, affirmations, an etiquette workshop, and a special workshop for parents.
