Free Body Physical Therapy Local Physical Therapist who provides 1 on 1 care. My goal is to empower my patients, maximize recovery & education in as few visits as possible.

Marc is the owner at Free Body Physical Therapy. He is a Chicago native who has spent the majority of his life working with his parents in Little Village, Pilsen, Humbolt Park & Logan Square. Marc received his B.A from the University of Illinois Urbana. He then attended Rosalind Franklin University of Health & Science & graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Upon graduation Marc spent 5 y

ears working at a variety of clinics along the west coast before returning to Chicago to complete a Fellowship in Manual Therapy. Less then 1% of the 200,000 Physical Therapists in the U.S have completed this fellowship. This has helped him become more efficient & effective in evaluating, treating & educating patients. He is now a lab assistant for the program. In his leisure, Marc likes to spend time with his family, eat, read, play basketball, volleyball & travel the world.

A PT about to graduate with her doctorate stopped at our table at the Rosalind Franklin career fair. She read our model and said:

“This is what I’ve been looking for. How do I not know about this?”

We are very excited to welcome Carlos Duran to our team!!!!

Carlos received his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Arizona State University before earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions.

Carlos has experience treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions, including sports-related injuries and post-operative rehabilitation. He is currently pursuing his fellowship training through the Manual Therapy Institute which is recognized through the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. This is the highest level of Clinical training a Physical Therapist can attain to advance knowledge and clinical skills.

Carlos takes a patient-centered approach to care, focusing on individualized treatment plans and empowering patients through education. He is passionate about helping individuals return to the activities they enjoy while improving overall strength, movement, and quality of life.

Originally born in Mazatlán, Mexico and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Carlos has a strong appreciation for health, fitness, and performance. In his free time, he enjoys strength training and competing as a powerlifter.

In 2015, a husband and wife who both worked in healthcare looked at the physical therapy industry and said: enough.

Enough 15-minute sessions split between a PT and an aide. Enough patients leaving clinics feeling like a number. Enough watching people give up on recovery because no one gave them a reason to believe it could actually work.

So they built Free Body. A clinic where every session is 45 minutes, one-on-one with an outstanding physical therapist— no aides, no technicians, no shuffling between providers who barely remember your name.

That was ten years ago.
