As CDI evolves and matures, it is critical that compliant and ethical documentation practices are not only taught but safeguarded. Members of the ACDIS Advisory Board have released a new white paper: “Safeguarding ethical documentation practices in querying, peer-to-peer discussion, and technological initiatives,” which addresses areas of compliance risk and ethical concern, and offers guidance for professionals regarding documentation practices. It's time to vote in new members of the ACDIS Advisory Board!

For 2026, the ACDIS Advisory Board has vacancies for two individuals from a clinical/RN background, one individual from an HIM background, and one individual from a physician background. We received only one qualified candidate for the HIM background position and one for the physician background position, so the Board reviewed the applications and unanimously agreed they met all criteria.

Elected board members will serve a three-year term of service, starting in spring 2026 through spring 2029. Voting is now open until April 2 to ACDIS members: https://hubs.la/Q046wQ8Q0

We encourage you to read each candidates' background/qualifications in CDI, then select the two candidates you believe are the best fit for the association. There are only two open spots, so you can only vote for two candidates.

If you are not an ACDIS member, you will not be able to see the voting mechanism. If you are logged in as a member, read through the candidate information and then scroll down to the bottom to cast your vote.
