: When should cytology adjuncts be used in evaluating oral mucosal abnormalities?
Early detection of oral cancer improves patient outcomes. This new ADA living guideline provides evidence-based recommendations on the use of cytology adjuncts in the first of a four-part series on early detection of oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMD) and oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC).
Access resources to help determine when cytology adjuncts are needed including an interactive guideline with full recommendations, supporting evidence, and implementation guidance at ADA.org/Cytology.
