Dr. Donna M. Barber is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago where she taught as an Associate Professor of Periodontics for more than 10 years. Since the late 1980's, Dr. Barber has been an active member of The American Association of Periodontists, Midwest Society of Periodontology, Illinois Society of Periodontists, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, as well as The National Association of Professional Women. She is a regular participant in a number of international conferences including the American Academy of Periodontal and Restorative Conference. Dr. Barber is a pet lover and practices her green thumb during breaks between patient visits. Dr. Kevin W. Luan
Dr. Kevin W. Luan is a Board-Certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Surgeon with an interest in advanced techniques in surgical periodontics and implant therapy. Originally from London, UK, Dr. Kevin Luan received his dental degree from King’s College London, England, and was awarded the Frank Ashley Prize from the British Society of Periodontology. Following graduation, he was selected as a Thoron Scholar to attend the University of Pennsylvania where he completed his specialist training in Periodontics and Dental Implantology and received his Masters degree in Oral Biology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Nevins Fellow of the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation, and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. Dr. Kevin Luan began his career as an award-winning faculty member at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago where he was Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontics. He is a Health Professions Education Fellow at Johns Hopkins University where he received his Masters of Education in Health Professions Education Leadership. Passionate about dental education, he serves as a national dental board licensure examiner for the Commission of Dental Competency Assessments and a program site visitor for the Commission on Dental Accreditation. He is actively involved with American Dental Education Association as Emerging Academic Leaders Scholar, the American Dental Association’s Institute for Diversity in Leadership, and the Academy of Osseointegration’s Young Clinician Committee. When not practicing, Dr. Kevin Luan enjoys playing tennis, skiing, swimming and spending time with family and friends.
