As the year winds down, here’s a question worth sitting with:

Who are you no longer willing to be?

Not from a place of judgment, but from self-respect.
Not because you failed, but because you’ve grown.

Sometimes healing looks like letting go of roles, patterns, or expectations that no longer fit who you’re becoming.

You don’t have to have all the answers before the new year begins.
You just have to be honest with yourself about what you’re ready to release.

Still living off charcuterie, leftover cookies, and random fridge snacks?

Same.

And while we’re soaking up this slow, in-between week, we’re also gently looking ahead

Our founder, Nicolle, was recently quoted in a TIME article about the questions people are encouraged not to ask during the holidays — and why these moments can feel more emotionally loaded than we realize.

The article explores how questions about relationships, family plans, bodies, or life timing can unintentionally increase stress, shame, or emotional overwhelm during gatherings.

These conversations matter — not just during the holidays, but in how we protect our nervous systems, set boundaries, and stay connected to ourselves long-term.

You’re allowed to redirect. You’re allowed to step away. You don’t owe anyone an explanation.

Our founder, Nicolle, was recently quoted in an important HuffPost article about helping kids navigate holiday gatherings with more confidence, autonomy, and nervous system support, body boundaries, and choice.

The article is worth the read because those conversations matter, not just during the holidays, but in how kids learn to trust themselves long-term.

Here are a few tips for parents during this season:
• Prepare kids ahead of time for what to expect at gatherings
• Normalize that children don’t have to hug or engage physically if they feel uncomfortable
• Help them identify ways to take breaks when things feel overwhelming

Supporting kids’ autonomy builds safety, confidence, and connection, all year long.

Head to the link in our stories to read the full article and help your kiddo head into the holidays confidently.

The holidays can bring so many feelings at once: excitement, joy, gratitude… and stress, overwhelm, or sadness. All of it can exist side by side, and all of it is valid.

Remember to give yourself permission to feel whatever comes up this season.

Take a pause when you need it, lean on support when you want it, and savor the moments that bring you joy. You don’t have to “get it all right.” You just have to be human.

Consider this your annual reminder that you are not obligated to attend:
• the cookie swap
• the cousins’ cousins’ party
• the thing you said yes to in October when you were a different person

Protect your energy. December is a marathon, not a sprint.
