The American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) is pleased to welcome Student Doctor Isaac Gollapalli to its Board of Directors as the National Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents' (COSGP) representative for a two-year term beginning January 1, 2026.

Gollapalli is a third-year Osteopathic Medical Student at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM), where he previously served as Student Government Association President. A nationally engaged student leader and dedicated community volunteer, getting involved and giving back is core to his persona.

“Student Doctor Gollapalli brings a thoughtful, service-oriented perspective that helps ensure the student voice remains central to our work,” said Rita Forden, CEO of the American Osteopathic Foundation. “His leadership experience, commitment to service, and firsthand understanding of today’s medical student journey will strengthen the Board’s decision-making and help us remain responsive to the needs of the next generation of Osteopathic Physicians.”

In addition to his leadership roles, Gollapalli has volunteered in disaster relief efforts with MEDIC Corps, provides care through student-led Osteopathic clinics, and has contributed to academic research during his undergraduate and medical training.

“The AOF has long valued its partnership with MSUCOM and the Michigan Osteopathic Association (MOA) who encourage and support student engagement," said Julie Sees, DO, AOF Board President. “Through philanthropy, the AOF creates meaningful pathways that support students, residents, and practicing physicians alike. We are proud that Isaac will contribute to advancing AOF's mission, and with grit, determination, and continued involvement, we have no doubt he could become a future AOA Board President, a position currently held by another brilliant Michigan leader, Robert Piccinini, DO.” Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Michigan Osteopathic Association
