DK Therapy, LLC

DK Therapy, LLC Experienced therapists providing individual and couples counseling to adults in Chicago's Loop neigh

Danielle is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with experience in individual and couples counseling. Her clients experience her as professional, personable, and non-judgmental, creating a comfortable and safe therapeutic environment. Known to “not take herself too seriously,” her clients describe her as both trustworthy and candid. She recognizes that not every person will fit with just one therapeutic approach and works with her clients to collaboratively develop a treatment approach to fit her clients’ needs. Her theoretical approach includes a blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). A graduate of the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Danielle grew up and attended college in Pennsylvania before moving to Chicago to further her education. She began her career in the hospital setting in Chicago, working with adults and teenagers in crisis as well as the intellectually disabled and their families. This unique and rewarding experience has furthered her appreciation for the struggles of Chicago’s families and sparked her interest in couples therapy. Danielle treats both individuals and couples who are seeking to improve their lives and relationships. She is trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and uses this evidence-based approach to strengthen or restore relationships. Danielle works with couples in every stage of their relationship, whether they are dating or seeking pre-marital or marital counseling. Additionally, she works with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, work stress, and life transitions, offering unique opportunities to work through difficulties by teaching tools necessary for developing insight and putting insight into action to help clients live a rich, meaningful life. Danielle is currently accepting new clients in her loop office and has early morning, weekend, and evening appointments available. She accepts most major insurance companies (BCBS PPO, United, Cigna) as well as many EAPs. Self-pay clients are always welcome and she offers a sliding scale fee. Special student discounts are also available to undergraduate and graduate students. Feel free to send her a message, e-mail or call to learn more information or to schedule an appointment.

For many, emotional well-being doesn’t feel important unless something has gone seriously wrong. Here's why mental health checkups should be as routine as physical checkups: https://chicagocounselingandtherapy.com/why-mental-health-checkups-should-be-as-routine-as-physicals/
