Introspective Family Therapy Introspective Family Therapy has provided holistic individual, couples, and family therapy in Chicago

At Introspective Family Therapy, we believe therapy provides a space in your life where you can be heard. Whether you have a problem to resolve or you just need someone to listen, therapy can help. Our aim is to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment to resolve issues, to heal and to grow. Holistic Marriage and Family Therapy incorporates many different components of our lives. We exist in relation to ourselves and others from our past, present and future. It is nearly impossible to isolate and work on only one part of ourselves without affecting the other parts. We believe it is important to explore the various areas of life and how they work together.

Talking to your child about death and dying can be daunting. But as parents or caregivers, one of the greatest gifts you can offer is creating open communication.

In our latest blog, Anviksha Kalscheur, LMFT, shares gentle guidance to help navigate these conversations:
🔹 Reflect on your family's values and beliefs
🔹 Meet your child where they are emotionally
🔹 Answer questions simply and honestly
🔹 Remind them that grief is a process, not a one-time event

Is your teen showing signs of stress, withdrawal, or overwhelm? Sometimes, the safest place for teens to open up isn't at home but with a trusted therapist or support group.

If your teen seems shut down, on edge, or like they're carrying more than they can hold, it might be time to expand their circle of support.
