Introspective Family Therapy Introspective Family Therapy has provided holistic individual, couples, and family therapy in Chicago

At Introspective Family Therapy, we believe therapy provides a space in your life where you can be heard. Whether you have a problem to resolve or you just need someone to listen, therapy can help. Our aim is to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment to resolve issues, to heal and to grow. Holistic Marriage and Family Therapy incorporates many different components of our lives. We exist in relation to ourselves and others from our past, present and future. It is nearly impossible to isolate and work on only one part of ourselves without affecting the other parts. We believe it is important to explore the various areas of life and how they work together.

"Right now, many families in Chicago are living with a very real, tangible fear. A knock on the door, a loved one taken into detention, a child separated from their parents. Each day, I hear of another story, see another headline," writes Anviksha Kalscheur, Founder and Director of Introspective Family Therapy.

"When I think about this model in today’s context, I think about creating islands of safety, coherence, and agency — even amidst such a harsh, terrifying environment. And throughout this chaos, there are people who are cleaning up the destruction that is happening, building new systems, and leading us to a better, more humane future."

Is your teen showing signs of stress, withdrawal, or overwhelm? Sometimes, the safest place for teens to open up isn't at home but with a trusted therapist or support group.

If your teen seems shut down, on edge, or like they're carrying more than they can hold, it might be time to expand their circle of support.

It’s Pride Month, so we’re resharing some of the core beliefs that drive our work at Introspective Family Therapy.

We believe in holding space for the rights of all people nationwide. We see the fear and destruction affecting our clients, our families, and our communities—and we’re ready to support each and every one of you, especially those in marginalized or vulnerable communities in need of extra safety or resources.

We’re here to advocate for the world our clients deserve. As a team, we strive to lead with allyship and advocacy. To create safe, accepting, and inclusive spaces for every single one of you. When we have access to spaces that prioritize compassion, acceptance, and healing, it leads to greater triumphs.
