🌿 Radical Digestion: Tending the Fire with Ginger & Honey
The medicine for Spring is movement. After weeks of slowing and storing, everything in us begins to thaw. In Ayurveda, this is the time to tend the digestive fire, aka agni 🔥, to gently redirect energy towards supporting the body in composting what it no longer needs to carry.
How we move in Spring, sets the tone for the rest of the year. With that said, I present this offering to explore digestion as a practice; a way of relating to what we take in, how we transform it, and what we choose to do with it.
This workshop is an invitation to:
Explore seasonal digestion through an Ayurvedic lens
Reflect on digestion as a practice
Make your own medicinal ginger-honey paste - a simple, powerful and delicious remedy to support warmth, movement, and clarity.
Share practices for building low-cost, home-based apothecaries with plant medicine. In a culture that often commodifies wellness and disconnects us from our ancestral technologies, this space is an offering toward reclaiming medicine as something collective, intuitive, and accessible. We’ll center the knowledge that our kitchens, our lineages, and our communities already hold deep medicine that we can share and practice in community.
You’ll leave with:
Your own handmade ginger-honey remedy
Practical tools for supporting digestion in the spring
A skill you can return to, adapt, and share within your community
Materials will be provided. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN JAR!
The remedy we make is intentionally simple, affordable, and designed to be recreated with ease.
