Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day Blue Bird Day is an academically structured therapeutic program for children 2 - 7 years old. Feel free to connect with us via email or visit our website.

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child. We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy. A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved. Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well. Want to learn more, sign up for a tour, or have a specific question?

Our Blue Bird of the Week is Walker! He is our resident alphabet and numbers master! He’s always seeking out the next challenge or adventure! He has found a love for being the first to try out a new messy activity, whether its shaving cream or new foods at lunch! On his quest for knowledge, Walker works hard to make sure that every last puzzle is solved. He loves to be in his own little world where he gets to sort colors and letters all day. But when he’s not doing that he loves to run and slide in the gym! Walker has come so far in his time here at Blue Bird and we couldn’t be prouder of him! Go Walker!!

When you first start navigating the world of autism, the terminology can feel overwhelming. IEPs, neurodiversity, sensory processing, dysregulation... it’s a lot to take in all at once. We created "A Parent's Guide to the Language of Autism" to turn that confusion into confidence. https://bluebirddayprogram.com/a-parents-guide-to-the-language-of-autism/

You just left the specialist's office with your child's diagnosis, your head spinning with words like "proprioception," "neurodivergent," and "sensory processing disorder." You have no idea what half of it means. And now you're Googling at 2 AM, drowning in medical jargon that reads like it was writ...
