Our APRN Fellows recently attended an in-person Procedure Lab at our Erie Foster location! 🩺

Led by Dr. Ann McCormick, with support from Fellowship faculty Esther Sault and Olivia Dixon, and our Program Director, this hands-on session gave fellows the opportunity to build procedural skills and strengthen clinical confidence.

These in-person, didactic learning opportunities are an essential part of our Fellowship program—ensuring our fellows continue developing the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality care for our Erie patients and communities.

We’re proud to announce that the AdvancingPractice Fellowship Program has officially received its re-accreditation as of March 12, 2026!

The program is now reaccredited for five years with the Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers, reaffirming our commitment to excellence in advanced practice training, mentorship, and professional development.

This milestone reflects the dedication of our faculty, fellows, and partners who continue to elevate the standards of advanced practice training and patient care.

Thank you to everyone who makes this program possible—we look forward to the next five years of impact and growth!

Last month, we had the best time stepping away from our clinical roles and onto the dance floor 💃🏽✨

A huge thank you to Jennifer Edgcomb, who leads Community Outreach at GEM Realty, for providing our APRN fellows and staff with a complimentary group dance wellness class! In addition to her work in community engagement, Jennifer shares her passion for dance by teaching on the side — and we were lucky to experience it firsthand.

The session was filled with energy, laughter, movement, and so much joy. It was a wonderful reminder of the importance of wellness, connection, and taking time to care for ourselves while we care for others.

Thank you, Jennifer, for giving our fellows and staff such an amazing experience and all the wellness benefits that came with it. We can’t wait to do it again! 💙

What a meaningful week for the Erie AdvancingPractice Fellowship Program!

We welcomed our reaccreditation site visitors from the Consortium of Advanced Practice Providers to our Erie Westtown and Erie Evanston/Skokie sites, where they spent time connecting with our fellows, preceptors, and Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

We are thrilled to share that we met all eight standards during the visit - a true reflection of the passion and commitment of our entire fellowship community.

Now we await from the Accreditation Commission, but for today we celebrate this moment together!

🌟 Celebrating 2025 Nurse of the Year Award Finalist! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to announce that our AdvancingPractice Program Director, Kiersten Solis, was honored as a 2025 Nurse of the Year Award Finalist at the Illinois Nurses Foundation Holiday Gala & Fundraiser! 💙

Kiersten has dedicated her career to addressing health disparities and strengthening care in underserved communities. As a community mentor, she has precepted countless APRNs and played a pivotal role in shaping the growth and success of so many fellows.

She embodies compassion, advocacy, integrity, and excellence in everything she does — and it was truly special to see so many Erie team members come together to celebrate her achievements.

We are deeply honored to have Kiersten recognized for the impact she makes every single day.
