Sejdaras Psy.D & Associates Working with high achievers who struggle with perfectionism, guilt, and self shame.

Not everyone experiences December as magical.
Sometimes it’s heavy, lonely, or emotionally loud in ways no one talks about.
I wrote about December grief, trauma, and the parts of the season we’re expected to hide.
📝 New blog is live.

High standards are often celebrated.
Ambition. Discipline. Resilience.

But inside relationships, those same strengths can quietly turn into pressure.
When you’re a high achiever, it’s easy to expect performance instead of presence, growth instead of grace, and consistency without space for being human.

Our newest blog breaks down how unrealistic expectations can slowly hurt connection — even when intentions are good.
✨ Growth doesn’t have to come at the cost of intimacy.

✨ New Blog Live: The Hidden Emotional Struggles of High Achievers ✨

High achievers are often celebrated for their drive, discipline, and resilience. From the outside, they look confident, capable, and endlessly motivated.
But what most people don’t see is the weight they carry in silence — the pressure to never slip, the fear of disappointing others, the internal battles that happen behind every polished accomplishment.

This week’s blog is a reminder that even the strongest minds need a place to exhale. Therapy isn’t a sign of weakness — it’s a space where high achievers finally get to put the armor down, be human, and heal the parts no one claps for.

If you’ve been holding it all together for everyone else… this one’s for you. 🤍

New on the blog 🤍

So many perfectionists carry a quiet kind of guilt—the belief that if they were truly strong, they wouldn’t struggle. But the truth is this: opening up about what hurts isn’t weakness. It’s the first, brave step toward a more grounded, fulfilling life.

In this week’s post, Dr. Sejdaras breaks down the weight of perfectionism, the shame it creates, and why asking for support is an act of strength—not failure.
Because you don’t have to hold it all together alone.
You’re allowed to be human.
And healing begins the moment you let yourself be seen.

In every session, I’m reminded that healing isn’t about labels or theories—it’s about connection, safety, and being truly seen.
I don’t show up with perfection. I show up with presence, compassion, and curiosity.
Because when someone finally feels understood, that’s when the real work begins. 🤍

Sometimes the most powerful healing happens far away from the noise.
Just a quiet walk through the woods, deep breaths, small hands in ours, and the reminder that we belong to something bigger than our worries.

Today was a chance to slow down, step away from the schedules, and simply be present — not as professionals, not as parents trying to do it all, but as humans reconnecting with our kids and with ourselves.

Quality time doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s leaves crunching under our feet, laughter echoing between the trees, and the feeling of peace we find when we let nature hold us for a little while.

This week, I’m not just taking a break from work… I’m taking a break from being everyone’s safe place.
As a therapist, a mom, and a woman who’s held so much this year—this cabin feels like the reset I didn’t even know I needed.

Slow mornings, watching the rain, cooking with my kids, breathing deeper than I have in months…
This is me unwinding, not because I earned it, but because I deserve it.

A week to reconnect with myself, be present with my babies, release the pressure, and remember that healing also looks like rest, softness, and choosing peace.

Here’s to making new memories, slowing down, and coming back home to myself ❤️

🫶 We’re launching a Food Drive! 🥫✨

As SNAP benefits continue to decrease, more families are struggling to put food on the table. Our mental health community has always shown up with empathy, and now we’re asking you to join us in a different kind of support — collecting non-perishable food items for those who need it most.

Bring your donation to your next appointment — a drop-off bin will be available in our waiting area.
All items will go directly to Nourishing Hope Chicago, serving families in our local community.

Because healing isn’t just about the mind — it’s about helping each other survive and thrive. 🥹💛

Grateful for the honor of being a keynote speaker at the Stress & Cancer Prevention Conference.

Stepping onto that stage was more than a moment—it was a reminder of why this work matters.

I hope my words reached those who needed them most, offering knowledge, comfort, and a little more hope.
Here’s to continued conversations that heal, educate, and empower. 🤍

I used to sit in my tiny office, recording videos on stress, healing, and community support — no script, no fancy gear… just a heart full of purpose. I didn’t know who would listen, I just knew I wanted to give back.

Today… that same mission has taken me to CBS, Albanian newscasts, universities, and stages I once only dreamed of. I’m now honored to be considered a professional speaker on stress + cancer prevention.

From pouring into my community on my phone…
to standing in rooms reminding people their health, peace, and story matter.

The dream was never too big — I just had to keep showing up. 🤍

🧠 New on the blog: We’re diving deep into how anxiety therapy often uncovers old wounds — the ones we didn’t even realize still hurt.

Anxiety isn’t just about the present moment. It’s often the echo of past pain — experiences that taught your mind to stay on alert. Understanding the connection between anxiety and trauma can help you begin to heal at the root, not just manage the symptoms. 💛

Read the full post to learn how therapy helps you unpack the past, release what no longer serves you, and create space for calm, safety, and self-trust again.
