Chicago Pediatric Therapy & Wellness Center provides physical, occupational, speech and Behavior therapy services in the clinic, school, and teletherapy setting as well as in the home through the Early Intervention Program. We work with children of all ages, from premature infants to young adults. Our therapists work in partnership with families to establish meaningful goals and provide interventions that are developmentally appropriate in a child-friendly environment. Communication with the child, parents, and specialists on the team is the cornerstone of our intervention and treatment philosophies. We have multiple social groups and classes for all ages that meet on a weekly or twice weekly basis. We strive to provide a variety of services for children and their caregivers to serve as a resource for families in the community. These groups include developmental play groups, social skills groups, parent support groups and motor skills groups. Last Day, Best Day!! 🌳💚

Let’s spend the last moments of Social Work and Counseling Month celebrating Yaeji, the incredible lead of our mental health team. Yaeji continues to demonstrate what it means to be an exceptional clinician—not only through her expertise, but through the genuine warmth and care she brings to every interaction she has with the children and families around her.

Throughout her years at the Center with us, Yaeji has shown tremendous growth within the company, continually building on her skills and leadership in ways that positively impact both our team and the families we serve. Her ability to connect with children and parents is truly special—she creates a space where families feel supported, understood, and empowered.

In addition to her clinical strengths, Yaeji is always thinking creatively and bringing forward thoughtful, innovative ideas to better support our families. She’s led the way with Sib Shop and Parent Support Group and her ideas flourish more and more each day with her Social Emotional Learning groups at the Academy.  Her dedication to improving our services and collaborating with others makes a meaningful difference every day.

We are so grateful to have Yaeji leading this important work and contributing her passion, insight, and heart to our community. We love you Yaeji!!! Happy Social Work & Counseling Month!! 🎊

The kids (6-13 y/o) in our SibShop work with other children and our social workers to talk about what it’s like having a brother or sister with different abilities.
Participants learn how to handle different or challenging situations in a fun and friendly setting filled with games, crafts, and kid-friendly discussions in safe spaces. 😁

It's the final days of Social Work & Counseling Month and we still have some celebrating to do! Let's give it up for Loren! ⭐💜

Although she just recently joined our team, Loren has already made an incredible impression on our community. From the very beginning, she has brought a genuine warmth, happiness, and consistently positive attitude that radiates through every interaction with families and of course the amazing kids we serve.

Loren approaches her work with compassion, curiosity, and a natural ability to connect with everyone around her. Whether she’s supporting a child, collaborating with colleagues, or simply offering a kind word in passing, her presence is uplifting and meaningful. She's served an integral role in coaching parents in our parent support group and has helped to collaborate and make that such a successful offering for our families. She embodies the heart of what this month represents! She is dedicated to supporting others, fostering growth, and showing up each day with empathy and purpose.

Today we celebrate our very own PT and co-owner Rose McLean! Help us spread some birthday cheer by wishing her a very Happy Birthday! Rose has committed her life to helping children everyday.

Every time you enter the Center or the Academy you quickly can see all of her hard work and vision in action. Over the past decade plus she has hand crafted an incredible team that shares her passion and is committed to helping families reach their maximum potential! It is exciting so see what the future holds for her, CPTWC, and her awesome family at home!

It's Social Work & Counseling Month! We are continuing our special shout-outs to our incredible team members. Today, we celebrate Lo!! 🎊

Lo has been a crucial member of our growing mental health team, consistently bringing compassion, thoughtfulness, and dedication to the patients and families we work with each day. She helped get our Sib Shop and Parent Support Group off of the ground, two amazing offerings that continue to grow, flourish and help children and families in a multitude of ways. Lo's ability to connect, support, and advocate is such a vital part of what makes our program so special, and we are truly stronger with her on the team!!!

Make sure to join us in showing appreciation for Lo, not just this month, but every day, for the meaningful impact she makes with our kids! Happy Social Work and Counseling Month!

April 8th, Parent Support Group meets for the first time! 👥
