Centered Therapy Chicago

Centered Therapy Chicago Group therapy practice in Chicago that specializes in relational trauma-informed care and training.

Centered Therapy Chicago (CTC) is a small group psychology practice in the North Center neighborhood of Chicago. Our therapists are dedicated to working with clients to improve their quality of life and make important changes through individual, couples, and family therapy. We specialize in working with young children, tween, teens, and adults who experience anxiety, depression, or distressing feelings as a result of typical stressors related to their life satisfaction, work/life balance, career/school, relationships, parenthood, family difficulties, identity and spirituality. CTC views clients from a holistic perspective looking at all of the important areas of your life when working with you. We take a mind/body/spirit approach our work and are happy to colloborate with other wellness professionals to help you. We build upon traditonal evidence-based practices and also can integrate mindfulness, meditation, movement, creative/expressive therapies, and somatic approaches as needed. We work with the whole family to make important changes in difficult or stressful family dynamics. Our therapists work with very young children and their parents on issues related to potty training, sleeping, discipline, parental stressors, parenting, and behavior management. We work with tweens and teens on issues related to school struggles, peer relationships, bullying, self-esteem, and improving family relationships. We also provide couples therapy to improve communication, increase intimacy, and reduce stressors in the relationship. Our therapists also have expertise in working with clients who have experienced significant losses or who have a history of emotionally troubling or abusive relationships. We provide culturally competent therapeutic services and utilize a wide variety of treatment modalities including relational therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-oriented approaches. Therapeutic services are available in English, Urdu, Hindi, and conversational Spanish.

We’re hiring a full-time licensed clinician (Hybrid | Chicago).
Centered Therapy Chicago is a woman-owned, moderate-sized group practice built around trauma-informed relational work, sustainable expectations, and high-touch support. We have intentionally designed a structure that supports depth of care, professional growth, and long-term sustainability for both clinicians and staff. Relational work is not limited to the therapy room at CTC; it shapes how we supervise, collaborate, communicate, and make decisions as a team.
As we continue to deepen our somatic and trauma offerings, we strongly encourage applications from clinicians trained in SE, NARM, EMDR, IFS, or other body-oriented trauma modalities.
Our model includes ongoing consultation, structured supervision, and full administrative, billing, and intake support — creating sustainable conditions for depth-oriented clinical work.

The digital landscape is changing faster than our ethical codes can keep up. Therapists are navigating new questions around privacy, self-disclosure, online presence, and a deeply polarized world, all while trying to stay connected to the clients they serve.

Join us for Ethics in the Age of Google, Social Media and Political Divide with Noelle McWard, LCSW. This conversation-based training explores how therapists can stay ethical, boundaried, and grounded in their values amidst rapid technological and social shifts.

We’re honored to partner with The Friendship center this season to support neighbors across Chicago’s northwest side. We’re collecting dried beans, pasta, and sauce—simple staples that make a meaningful difference for families experiencing food insecurity.
🌟
A donation box is located at CTC for staff and clients, and other members of our community can also contribute at Ridman’s Coffee (open every day from 7am to 3pm). Donations will be accepted through December 19.
🌟
If you’d like to learn more about other donation sites and community partners in the area, has a helpful guide to local boxes and organizations.
