I’ve been an endurance athlete for 10 years, completing 4 Ironman races, multiple 70.3’s, and logging thousands of miles on roads, trails, and water.
But my first love, discovered in high school, was being in the gym lifting heavy ass weights. I used all the old-school preworkouts like NO XPLODE, Jack3d (the original banned formula 😂), C4 and others.
They’re all fun, but the hyper caffeinated, tingly face feeling did not lend itself well to endurance sports, where we’re often training in targeted heart rate zones.
