Real Outcomes with Colorado Permanente Medical Group - CPMG ✨
CPMG demonstrates how accredited CME paired with system-level changes can drive meaningful improvements in patient care by:
✔️ Implementing evidence-based pediatric UTI guidelines through live, case-based CME across all 27 outpatient clinics.
✔️ Integrating a UTI-specific EHR order set to support guideline-recommended, narrow-spectrum antibiotic prescribing.
✔️ Achieving measurable improvements after 18 months—including increased use of first-line antibiotics (43% → 62%) and shorter treatment durations (7.3 → 6.0 days), with short courses (≤5 days) rising from 26% to nearly 69% among older children with uncomplicated infections.

This week, the ACCME team gathered in Chicago for our annual All Staff Strategic Planning Retreat! 👏
We took time to relax, reengage with colleagues, and connect to our core principles through art appreciation at the The Richard H. Driehaus Museum. Together we explored our shared goals and gathered ideas from across the organization as we look ahead to our next Strategic Plan. Some of us even enjoyed a beautiful winter walk along the icy riverfront! ❄️
