✔️ 95% assess clinician competence
✔️ 46% assess performance in practice
✔️ 18% assess patient health outcomes

Real Outcomes with Colorado Permanente Medical Group - CPMG ✨
CPMG demonstrates how accredited CME paired with system-level changes can drive meaningful improvements in patient care by:
✔️ Implementing evidence-based pediatric UTI guidelines through live, case-based CME across all 27 outpatient clinics.
✔️ Integrating a UTI-specific EHR order set to support guideline-recommended, narrow-spectrum antibiotic prescribing.
✔️ Achieving measurable improvements after 18 months—including increased use of first-line antibiotics (43% → 62%) and shorter treatment durations (7.3 → 6.0 days), with short courses (≤5 days) rising from 26% to nearly 69% among older children with uncomplicated infections.
💬 “Seeing our outcomes research confirm that accredited CE paired with system-level changes can transform clinician behavior and improve patient care is incredibly rewarding—it reminds us that education truly has the power to transform healthcare.”
— Sharisse M. Arnold Rehring, MD

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) is a nonprofit organization based in Chicago, responsible for accrediting organizations that offer continuing medical education, creating a framework that supports, inspires, and motivates educators to achieve their full potential. We set the standards for education that accelerates learning, change, and growth in healthcare. Our standards reflect the values of our educator community and respond to the evolving healthcare environment. As a result, clinicians and teams can drive improvement in their practice and optimize the care, health, and wellness of their patients.
Every day clinicians can choose from more than 3,000 hours of accredited CME. Accredited CME offers clinicians, educators, and health leaders the power and capacity to address many of the challenges we face in our changing healthcare environment.
Our community of more than 1,800 CME providers offers physicians and healthcare teams an array of resources to promote quality, safety, and the evolution of healthcare.
We accredit organizations in the US and around the world. Accredited CME providers represent a range of organizations from national physician membership organizations to rural hospitals. Some specialize in local, community-based health issues, others focus on national and international health priorities, and others advance interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) and team-based care.
