Keeping your heart healthy is a lifelong journey, and every decade matters. In your 50s, build a strong foundation with regular movement, strength exercises, good sleep, and routine check-ins.
In your 60s, stay consistent with activity, balance training, and heart-healthy meals. In your 70s and beyond, focus on gentle strength, steady movement, connection, and preventive care to support both circulation and overall well-being. Small steps today can create a stronger, healthier tomorrow. ❤️
Start today and your heart will thank you tomorrow.

Cholesterol is not the enemy. ❤️
HDL, often called good cholesterol, helps remove excess cholesterol from your blood. LDL, known as bad cholesterol, can build up in your arteries and increase the risk of heart disease.
Your liver produces all the cholesterol your body needs. Additional cholesterol comes from foods like meat, eggs, poultry, and full-fat dairy.
The catch is that high cholesterol often has no symptoms. That is why regular checkups and a simple blood test, called a lipid panel, are essential for keeping your heart healthy.
Stay informed, get tested, and take charge of your heart health.

Did You Know?🩸

Simple steps like eating iron rich foods and getting regular health checkups can help improve your levels and restore your energy.

How Nutrition Impacts Your Mental Health: Myths vs. Facts
Fuel your brain the right way — small diet changes can make a big difference! 💚
Gluten-free diets help people with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity — not everyone needs them.
Skipping meals can lead to mood swings, stress, and low energy — regular meals keep you balanced.
Coffee in moderation can improve focus, but too much may cause anxiety or disrupt sleep.
Supplements can fill nutritional gaps but can’t replace whole foods.
Healthy fats like omega-3s support brain health — remember, not all fats are bad!

Healthcare is not a privilege — it is a human right.✨
On this Universal Health Coverage Day, AC Foundation continues its mission to bring free, quality care to families who need it most. 💛
Many in our community face challenges that keep them from receiving proper medical treatment. Through our clinics and outreach programs, we aim to close this gap and bring hope, healing, and support to every person we serve.
📞Let’s work together to ensure no one is left without care. Visit iamacf.org to learn more.

IAMACF offers free primary care to members of the community. The free health clinic is primarily run by volunteers including physicians, medical students, translators, as well as a handful of employees. In addition to primary care, we offer specialty clinics, targets programs, lifestyle workshops, free (limited) pharmacy services, and lab testing.
IAMACF is also a teaching clinic for medical students from six of our area’s medical schools, including the Chicago Medical School, Loyola University, Northwestern University, Rush University, University of Chicago, and University of Illinois at Chicago.
We are always looking for ways to improve our ability to serve the community.
The Community We Serve
The West Ridge community is home to one of the most culturally diverse communities, as it is a gateway to numerous immigrant and refugee populations in Chicago. The free clinic serves low-income populations, who are uninsured and under-served, in that they have no affordable or culturally competent medical facility for their healthcare needs. While we largely serve a South Asian population, anyone and everyone is welcome at the IAMACF clinic.
