I just received a vaccine should I wait a few days before I get a massage?

Yes, and here’s why:

Massage manipulates not just muscles and skin, but also the circulatory systems. The lymph system regulates the body’s immune response, and a vaccine initiates an immune response in your body. The immune response often triggers side effects such as aches, fever, chills, etc. You should never get massage when you’re having symptoms of immune response.

The majority of possible side effects happen within the first 48 hours. However, I recommend 72 hours before getting massage just to make sure you’re not going to have an adverse reaction to the vaccine.
