Chiropractic care in my office looks different than what most people expect.
One of the biggest reasons is this: I use computerized infrared thermography on every single visit. Sometimes more than once in the same visit. Not because it’s fancy, but because it tells me whether I’ve actually helped the body recover on its own.
This scanner gives me an objective snapshot of how someone’s nervous system is functioning. Similar to how an EKG measures heart function and gives a cardiologist real data, this scan shows how well the brain and body are communicating.
It does that by measuring subtle temperature changes along the spine, which reflect how the autonomic nervous system is regulating blood flow. That system controls fight/flight and rest/digest. When it’s stressed or stuck in survival mode, those patterns show up clearly on the scan.
That’s why this matters. It allows me to see if someone’s nervous system is under stress, how long it’s been there, and how severe it is. And just as important, it lets me track real change over time.
The best part isn’t just watching scans improve. It’s watching people’s lives start to open back up as their body heals.
