SOCOG is seeking the right person to fill the position of INVESTIGATIVE AGENT for Meigs and Gallia Counties.
If you have a Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement, criminology, social work, or a related field; excellent communication and writing skills; experience in developmental disabilities field; and a valid Ohio Driver's License with reliable transportation, you may be the person seek.
This is a full-time position with health, life, vision, and dental insurance. This position contributes to OPERS with an option of Deferred Comp. Rate of pay is based on experience.

Members of our SOAG Southern Ohio Advocacy Group were recognized yesterday for their contributions to the implementation of Ohio's Blue Envelope Program.
Blue Envelope Packet are available for free at all county board of DD offices in SOCOG's service area.

Blue Envelope Packets, which include an envelope, car decal, wallet card, and instructional brochure, can be picked up for free all County DD offices in the SOCOG.

Ohio's Blue Envelope Program focuses on making traffic stops and other encounters between law enforcement and drivers with disabilities safer and less stressful.

Thank you Pickaway County Sheriff's Office for your support of the Blue Envelope Program.

Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey is pleased to announce that the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office has the packets available! This program started in San Diego, CA and has been spreading across the United States. The Ohio Blue Envelope Program is designed to promote inclusion. It serves as an enhanced communication awareness tool between law enforcement and community members. Disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder dementia, a physical disability, or mental health conditions that might require additional accommodations or awareness during law enforcement interactions.

These envelopes are available free of charge at the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office administration offices M-F 8-4 or anytime in the lobby of the Pickaway County Jail. A huge thank you to Pickaway County Developmental Disabilities for providing this valuable resource to our community.
