Phyllis wanted to share her heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Arcadia Care for the wonderful care she received during her therapy stay.

She shared that therapy encouraged her to do her very best, while still being enjoyable and making it feel less like work. Along the way, she even formed some special friendships that made her experience even more meaningful.

🍀 Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀

Spreading a little luck (and a lot of sweetness) today! 💚

We put together these festive “beer mugs” filled with peanut butter cups — topped off with a bow for the perfect touch — and delivered them to some amazing community partners at Grand Regency, Traditions Hospice, and OSF Orthopedic.

It’s always a joy to show appreciation and share smiles with the wonderful people we work alongside every day. Thank you for all that you do!

🍀 St. Patrick’s Day Fun at Arcadia Care at Chillicothe! 🍀

St. Patrick’s Day was a fun-filled celebration for our staff, families, and residents! 💚

We kicked off the day with games and trivia, bringing out lots of laughter and friendly competition. The celebration continued with a festive party featuring plenty of delicious food and drinks for everyone to enjoy. 🍽️

Irish music filled the air, creating great energy and plenty of smiles all around. And as you can see… there was definitely no shortage of green throughout the facility! ☘️

A wonderful day full of joy, connection, and celebration!

We love celebrating success stories like this one!

Marjorie was happy to return home over the weekend after completing her therapy with us. Before leaving, she shared her appreciation for the loving care she received from our entire team.

Marjorie mentioned that this is her favorite facility and, having stayed with us before for therapy, she wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. She said every department here is truly top notch.

Hearing kind words like this means so much to our staff who work hard every day to provide compassionate care.

We wish Marjorie all the best as she continues her recovery at home!

Residents and staff were excited to welcome the Pearce Line Dancers back after their winter break! The ladies came in looking fantastic all dressed up in St. Patrick’s Day gear, bringing lots of festive spirit with them. The music and dancing were wonderful, and everyone was tapping their toes and clapping along. Thank you, ladies, for sharing your time and talents with us—we loved having you back!

🎨 Creativity and memories came together during painting time at Arc at Chillicothe.

Marlene created this beautiful piece titled “Winter’s Light” as a special gift for her daughter who was visiting from Pennsylvania. While painting, she shared wonderful stories about volunteering at Helping Hands Resale Shoppe and Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care.

Her passion for giving back and her creativity made this moment truly special.

Yesterday our team from Arc at Chillicothe had a great time attending the Senior Health Fair at the Pearce Community Center. It was wonderful connecting with so many members of our community and sharing resources for seniors and their families.

The event was full of energy and entertainment. The Pearce Line Dancers gave a fantastic performance and a two man band kept the crowd smiling with classic old country songs that brought back lots of memories.

There were so many great vendors at the event, and it was inspiring to see our community come together to support health, wellness, and connection for seniors.

We always look forward to this event each year and appreciate being part of such a strong and caring community.

Becky has been crocheting since 1975 and still enjoys every minute of it. Her love for the craft has stayed strong for nearly 50 years, and she continues to create beautiful pieces for the people she loves most.

She shared that the most challenging person she ever taught to crochet was Jim because he is left-handed while she is right-handed. That small difference made the learning process a little tricky, but it also made for a memorable experience.

Right now Becky is working on her sixth baby blanket for her great-grandchildren, carefully creating something special that they can treasure for years to come.

Becky says crocheting helps the day go by faster and keeps both her hands and her heart busy. Watching her create is a beautiful reminder that the things we love doing most often become the gifts we pass down to our families.

What a fun and delicious afternoon celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at Arcadia Care at Chillicothe!

Residents and staff enjoyed making festive crafts while sipping on Shamrock shakes topped with Cool Whip and green sprinkles. The minty treat was a refreshing favorite and brought plenty of smiles to the room.

One of the sweetest moments of the day was seeing a mother and daughter enjoying crafts together and sharing special time side by side. Moments like these remind us how meaningful our activities and connections are within our community.

Days like this make life at Arcadia Care so special.

Residents at Arcadia Care at Chillicothe had a wonderful afternoon decorating and enjoying St. Patrick’s Day cookies, thanks to Molly from Compassus Hospice.

The room was filled with smiles and laughter as residents decorated their cookies and shared sweet memories of baking at home with their families. Many reminisced about how special it is to walk into a kitchen filled with the smell of something freshly baked.

Thank you, Molly, for bringing such a fun and meaningful activity to our residents and helping create such a joyful afternoon!

Today we celebrated National Barbie Day, and the halls were full of pink and smiles! Staff brought in all kinds of Barbies including dolls, a boat, helicopter, golf cart, motorcycle, Kens, and even animals for everyone to see. We enjoyed Barbie trivia, watched the Barbie movie, and had a great discussion about dolls and the memories they brought back. Barbie was introduced in 1959, and as you can see, everyone was happy to join in the fun today!
