So very true! DOD bought into a lie from Express Scripts that their pharmacy services would save money and better serve our military. Voice your opinion to our Federal Legislators and tell them how “great” it is to not use their local pharmacy. And why are they wasting taxpayer dollars to pay Express Scripts more for less service. Don’t believe this is how we should honor our military.

If anyone deserves the absolute best our country has to offer, certainly our veterans and active duty military personnel are those people. But, what has been allowed to happen instead is inadequate access to pharmacies. When a giant corporation like Walmart refuses to accept Tricare because of the underwater reimbursements, how can anyone expect locally owned independents to do so? You can’t! So, for many of those on Tricare they are forced to poor mail order services or driving long distances to either mostly chain pharmacies or VA facility, if they can manage the long drives. And to top off the lack of pharmacy access…. The PBM is OVER CHARGING the federal government. That’s right, your tax dollars helping the PBMs get richer, while your local pharmacy and veterans and active duty suffer!
